Lilyannasmom- I received a paper today that has all the supplements, how many are in each bottle, and the prices. The list has quite a few items on it, so it would be a lot to list, but if you have some you'd like me to check I could post them for you.

CARGIRL: I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. As you are with her during this time, be sure to take care of yourself. OP isn't that big a deal--you know this path and you can always come back. But make sure to nourish yourself with love, with friends, with support. (A healthy meal now and then is probably important too, but OP ain't that big a deal.) We'll be thinking of you.

Anyone else have any weirdnesses happening too?

Honestly, no - I've found that when I'm eating better I'm sick less often. It could just be the timing of when you started, the start of cold & flu season. Plus I usually have some kind of allergies kick in in the fall myself, no matter how I'm eating. Depending on what supplements you're taking & what kind of sickness we're talking about, could you be allergic to something in one of your supplements? Or so some food that you're eating that you didn't eat before? Just throwing out some random possibilities...

Cargirl: I am so sorry to hear about your mom- I second the thoughts of Hvnlymsic- do whatever you need to do to get through this time and know that we are all thinking of you. I have been in your shoes and it is not easy. Make the time you have quality time for you and your family.

Moliver: Thank you for the suggestions!! I am about to run out of all day, mrc6, triphalia, flax and my multi. I can't swallow the price of all of that at once again. I was trying to figure out what I should cut. I will definitely look up that site.
Meemo: Thank you for the water suggestion. I will try that.
Cargirl: I am so sad to hear your news. Take care and know that we are thinking of you.

Alexiah: I have been on plan since Oct. 8, I did preconditioning for about 10 days prior to that- just because I had a lot going on and couldn't get to the foods class. I don't really know how long it took to drop one size because I also was crammed into my pants. But, I know that I just got bought two size 12's this last weekend and I haven't been in a 12 in many years! whoo hoo and that is a 2+ drop since Oct.
The best thing was the other night when my dh hugged me from behind and said oh- I feel bones- in my neck and shoulders. He couldn't believe how different I felt- I guess that was an ah ha moment for him! lol
I am having the dreaded colonoscopy on Wed. (Thanks to my family history) Has anyone else had that done while OP? I can't eat any solids tomorrow and nothing on Wed. I don't have the procedure done until 2:00. Any advice? Can I drink those clear HNS all day tomorrow?

I love this forum! Such great information to share...
Cargirl: Sorry to hear the news. Talk to the center - maybe they will suspend your program??
Alexiah: I was the one that mentioned Relcore. Other than online, I think it may only be distributed via Wal-Mart or Sam's Club. They have a website relacore dot com for info. There isn't any stimulant in it. It's supposed to make you a tad more mellow, if anything. I haven't noticed anything while being on it, at least in a negative way!
Springfield Amy: I bought two Rubbermaid quart containers and keep one with me always. I fill them up right before bed and then they are ready the next day and I know I have to get them down, in the very least. Chugging cups at a time works better for me than sipping continually.

to the Newbies! This is a fantastic site! Make sure you go back through the old threads! They are a great wealth of info!
cargirl I am so sorry to hear about your mother. You need to do what you need to do! Make sure that you do take care of yourself also!
graduate Whoo hoo Great news about your son, whom I happen to know! I hope he wants to go to UNL! lol As far as the colonoscopy, you might want to call the center tomorrow and ask Suzi what she recommends. She said she will be there! I found out about an hour ago that Papio was canceled for tomorrow I hope your district will be also! So surprised they gave notice so early. Must be a heck of a storm coming!
Lillyanna's momI have never been so healthy as I have this year! I have terrible allergies and usually catch many colds. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist, so kids are literally in my face all day! I think a lot has to do with the diet and supplements, but I also sleep with a machine for my apnea and have been much better since starting that in May!
Well, I finally had a good weigh in...I lost 4lbs! Whoo hoo ! I have been having a terrible time this last month. Wondering if personal stress was causing the slow down. I started Corti-Trim (only one a day due to insulin) and think that may have helped some. No matter...I am a very happy person tonight!!!!
Speaking of Corti-Trim, my manager told me that she takes it, and at one time had stopped taking it and her mood worsened so she started back on! She told me that the counselors made her go back on so they would be able to work with her! I doubt that, but she said she feels it does calm her down!
I went to a class tonight at the center. It was a shopping class. We walked to the local grocery store and our manager took us through the store giving us ideas on different things to eat, tips and ways to prepare certain food. It was fantastic. One thing I learned was that shredded cheese is coated with potato starch to keep it from sticking together in the bags! Amazing! She encouraged us to by blocks and shred our own. Don't believe me? Check the package, I did! lol I also learned that you can have only 5 squirts of the butter spray one time a day! I love the classes that are offered! There is so much to learn!
Have a great night all and thanks for being there!

KrazyK: Hip Hip Hoooray! Great loss, I knew it would kick in! Good for you! I will call the center in the morning about the HNS. And thanks for the kind words about DS. We are very proud parents and just a little relieved! Ha!

Oh yeah! My school is cancelled, too! I am going to have short week with my " procedure" on Wednesday. I think I am going to be starved by Wed. at 4-5. The next two days will be long for me. I will be lurking a lot! Post away!!

KrazyKK: Thanks for sharing what you have learned. I didn't know either of those things. I have not taken any of the classes. Maybe that is why I have been slipping. It is time to get a little more serious. Thanks again.

I guess these two muffin bread recipes aren't in the cook book, so of course I'll share. I made the rum butter one today, but made it with pudding instead of the dry mix (i couldn't tell which it wanted, I'm no chef) - yeah don't do that. It is a little mushy, but still tastes great! I guess you mix all the ingredients dry (yes, i'm that silly in the kitchen).
Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Bread
1/4 cup old fashion oatmeal
1 Lemon Chiffon Pudding (HNS)
1 egg
2 oz. low fat cottage cheese - 1/4 cup
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
Mix all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Pour into 3x5 3/4 small loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
Replaces 1 protein supplement, 4 oz. protein, bread/starch.
Eat the whole loaf.

Well, after four days on Meta-Quick, I went to WI today and was down 4#! WOW -- that's my biggest loss so far --- and I got to sign the 20# board! WOO HOO .... so, 3 days of pre-conditioning and 5 weeks on program and 20# lighter -- I'm so excited!! My last holiday challenge was tonight -- big dinner in downtown Denver. It was so easy -- just had the salad, the chicken (after scraping off the sauce) and yellow squash -- told them not to even leave the dessert -- and I didn't even care.
cargirl -- I'm so sorry about your mother -- safe travels.
Alexiah -- you should be able to start program Saturday.
