Whew I made it! Today was our "ladies lunch" at the clinic and tonight was the office party ........... both are virtual food bonanzas. I made the strawberry spinach salad for the lunch and had a tiny serving (I have been doing Meta-Quick) along with a meal replacement shake. Tonight I had boiled shrimp and vegetables, so I think I'm okay. There were tons of wonderful goodies, and I didn't even think twice about having a single bite!! I got to enjoy the people and concentrate on that and the hilarious white elephant part of the party. It was great. I did have a Diet Coke (so a little caffeine and 35 mg sodium -- but I really don't think that will hurt much either). So, yay --- I have one more big dinner at the Brown Palace Monday night, but I'm ready -- will have the salad with oil and vinegar, the meat (after I scrape off whatever they pour on it) and the veggies. So that should be good too. Then that's it until Christmas Eve -- yay -- I'm surviving it all and I feel so incredibly empowered --- at this point food has no power over me anymore!! yippee

Hi all. I went in last night to get my diet plan for day 1-4! I am so excited. The headaches are still there but not as frequent. I have lost 3 pounds during pre conditioning week. I am ready for this I tell ya, I am done with this weight! I am happy that I have the yellow menu, it tells me what to eat and that is that! No brainer! I know I will have a problem with the breakfast because I was never a morning eater, my biggest problem is the night time munchies when the kids and hubby are sleeping! Thanks for all of your posts they have a wealth of information and inspiration to keep me motivated to stick to this program. Couple of quick questions. I am trying to write down when to take my supplements, meals, and protein drinks, to keep a schedule..and I have organized it to take my additional protein drinks when I take my enhancers. Is this Okay? Can anyone give me some ideas on how they have structured there times on all this good stuff we have to take! Thanks Ladies and I am so proud of everyone's accomplishments to this point. Great Job.

Meemo - I think she's saying that MRC-6 is not a fat blocker. It does alot of things, but not block fat, so taking it with an essential fat would have no effect. Maybe I misunderstand your question.
dkmd - What a powerful statement! Food has no hold over you! Isn't it wonderful feeling. I remember the first time I felt that and waht a life changing feeling! I never saw my eating problem (and yes, it was a problem) as a control issue, but I look back and know that it sure was a control issue...my food was in charge and now, I am the master of my food! Sounds silly, but its so true. Congrats on beating the temptations that you faced!

I am stuck in the house today due to an ice storm, so I might just be around here all day

CHRISTYBEAN01 - I congratulate you on your 3 lb loss and your positive mindset as you begin your weight loss journey. Getting organized is a great first step. I take two enhancers capsules first thing when I get up and have breakfast 1 hour later and take them again 1 hour before lunch. It's best to take them on an empty stomach, but the most important thing is to take them consistently at the same time each day. Some people may have problems sleeping at night if they take them later in the day. Again, it sounds like you're starting on the right foot, and we all welcome you and are glad you found us!!!

Everyone for your wonderful words that continue to make me feel good about winning my personal weight loss battle

Last night I realized a new found FREEDOM. My DW and I have season tickets for the Colorado Eagles hockey games. We spit them with some friends of ours. The seats are great except for one thing. They're made for skinny people!!! For the past 4 years we have had to exchange our seats for ADA seating, which is handicap seating. In my case, seating for FAT people. I usually have to arrange this a week or two in advance. Well I forgot to do this this time. My sweet DW said, "I bet you can fit in the seat now." She was right!!! I now have the FREEDOM to sit in a regular skinny stadium seat.

Hey All!!

Just wanted to check in. Donuts WAY TO GO!!! Man you are also my hero / role model. One day I will be there. It might take me a few months but it will happen

alexiah Melba toast is in the International section of my grocery store. I think that it is wherever the store has room LOL. I really like the onion and garlic flavor.

So today I started MetaQuick. I needed a boost. I am hoping for a couple pounds on Tuesday when I weigh in, unless I need to do it Monday for some support. Emotionally I haven't been doing great, and being an emotional eater last week was SO tough. But I made it through last week. Starting a new week. Starting MetaQuick. I hope that this will be another good jump start!!!

I was wondering, what was found out about starting our own forum? I couldn't find the answer....

I hope that you are all having a fabulous weekend. Keep up the good work and let the inspiration keep on coming!

Congratulations on starting your journey!
I ended up buying a couple of those pill containers - one is a weekly one marked with 7 compartments marked with the days of the week. The other has 4 compartments, I think they're marked breakfast/lunch/dinner/bedtime or something like that.
I used the weekly one for the pills I take once a day - my multi-vitamin, B vitamins, chromium, etc. I take those in the morning. The 4-compartment one I used for my lunchtime & dinnertime supplements (I take them after I eat, otherwise they mess with my stomach). I use the first 2 compartments for my MRC-6, flax, hoodia, calcium & MSM that I take with lunch, the last 2 for my dinner ones (same stuff except for the hoodia, I'm not a night eater so I only take that with breakfast & lunch).
When I first started I'd mix up 2 HNS in the morning in my Tupperware shaker, drink one with breakfast & the other with lunch. After awhile I started mixing them separately. (I usually just drank 2 a day unless I started stalling, then I'd up it to 3 for a bit.)
Oh, and I've mentioned it before, but I taped a copy of my menu to the inside of a kitchen cabinet so I always knew right where it was for reference - it's still in there.

Eh, I'm just overthinking again - when she says "MRC-6 is made of several ingredients including Lecithin which allows fat and cholesterol to be mixed with water in the digestive tract and then it is removed from the body."
Then:
"MRC-6 is not a fat blocker and there is a difference between body fat and the essential fats that your body uses and needs to function properly."

The fat in the digestive tract would be dietary fat, not body fat. Maybe it's because I was always bothered by their calling it "liposuction in a bottle". I still took it, mind you!

Thanks all! I appreciate the info. I think I got it organized fairly well for now! I am sure I will change it up if it becomes confusing. I found that by printing my schedule and posting it on the fridge and clearing a cabinet just for ME in the kitchen helps. I took your plan Meemo, and put my menu right inside the cabinet! Thanks again.

I know a few of you are experiencing Muscle Cramps so I thought I'd post about my experience with them on program.

I have been getting horrible calf cramps every night since I started the supplements. Last weekend I forgot to bring my weekend doses home - and the calf cramps went away. I was convinced it was something I was taking, but I kept taking it anyway (the cramps returned monday). I have not been taking the multivitamin because multis give me migraines and i'm allergic to paba. I finally gave in and asked them if i could exchange them for Liquid Minerals and take that instead. They said yes, I took some when I got home, and haven't had a muscle cramp since! I take it every night a few hours before bed, and it does the trick. Yay! I guess I was missing something that needs to go along with the supplements. I'm taking MRC-6, Enhancer, Corti-Trim and Flax Seed during the day.

I was taking the internal cleanser between meals but it wasn't doing much for me. i changed to 2 a night before bed and that's much better! I don't think I can handle 4 yet, but 2 are good. I'm also taking a "memory and focus" mix from Avon that has all the B's in it.

I was so excited that I fixed my muscle cramping problems that I thought I'd share my experience in case it helps someone else!

When I was given food instruction, I was told that we could use salad dressing that was up to 2g fat, 3 carb, no sugar. The new supervisor at my center says it has to be completely fat free. I told her that if it has the good oils in it, like olive oil, then it would NOT be fat free.

Also - I was told originally that if you have a thyroid disorder that you cannot take All Day Weight Loss or Metabolic Enhancer. This new supervisor says it doesn't matter if you have a thyroid problem, you can take anything.

Does this sound right to you?? I sounds wrong to me.

Thanks!
Raemi, I have hypothyroidism and the manager at my center and I both decided to avoid the All Day Weight Loss & Metabolic Enhancer. I would rather err on the safe side. I use olive oil, sparingly and seasonings on my salad. Usually I measure out my salad, the put it in a large baggie and mix in a Tbs of oil and the seasonings (your choice), zip up the bag and shake it up! That way all of the salad gets a little 'something'...

Donuts, you are SUCH an inspiration to us all! That 100 lb board WILL be yours! I also had a 'sports seating moment' not too long ago. We went to a basketball game and I sat comfortably, with plenty of wiggle room and no 'conspicuously tubby' feelings. It was very freeing to know that I can go to the games now, and sit wherever without feeling uncomfortable or feeling as though I was 'overflowing' on my neighbor's seat.

Hi everyone!

I have been a major lurker lately and not been posting. I have been reading all the time though and getting a lot of motivation from all of you. Way to go on all the great progress everyone is making. I went to WI today and had a 3 lb loss. I was very happy with that because I haven't been able to make it in in quite awhile and was out of everything. Ever since Thanksgiving I have really been struggling with staying on plan, I have been avoiding the clinic, this board, and everything. I am ready though to pull my head out and get with this again! I just really have to be more aware at Christmas and not let myself get slack.

WTG everyone again... I am so happy for you all!

Default Supplement questions

So as I have been reading, I have read that lots of you take your vitamins at different times. Is there a certain way that I should be taking them?

Right now I take 2 Hoodia, 2 MSM, 2 MRC 6, 1 Total Woman, 1 Co-Q 10, 1 multivitamin at every meal. I take two Vitamin B-6 at breakfast. I take one Vitamin B-12 at breakfast and one at lunch. I take the UCII before bed. I also bought Guggal, Corti-Trim, and the Internal Cleanser but have no idea when to take them and keep forgetting to ask.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Also where else do you buy your vitamins or do you just buy them through MRC? I am really afraid that I will run out of money before I run out of weight to lose!
