compliments

Well I'm still really fat, just a tad above 260, but the compliments are starting to roll in. There were three today; one from the lady who delivers the newspaper, two from co-workers.

My response is always, thanks , but I don't look good, I just look good for me;)

I'm glad it shows, but I've got a lot of work to do. (The goal below is a mini-goal it's just too mind boggling to think how much I have to loose. After I drop 100 lbs, I could still drop 100 more)

WHAT?! Man, read what you just wrote. Are you being humble or do you really not give yourself credit for being amazing?

How tall are you? 260 for a guy is, IMO, not 100 lbs over weight. In fact, some of my boyfriend's clients (he's a personal trainer) are working with him to get to 200 lbs coz they can't get out of the 180's on their own. Of course I'm talking weight training, but I just want to point out that a 160 lb man is too light, IMO. You have done an unbelievable job. Don't belittle it.

I have to agree somewhat dependent on body composition, i'm 5'10 and 223 right now and people are telling me i look skinny, or i should just stay where i am, they can't see in the mirror though and clothing can be forgiving, not to mention i'm still clinically obese. ( No i don't put a lot of faith in this generic measurement - still... )

I have a powerful and stocky build and truthfully could be happy the way i am right now, but i will not rest until i hit that 195 marker, i will probably still have a little extra fat and most assuredly some loose skin even at that, if i was to weigh 160 i would be considered sickly and anemic though.

We're all our own worst critics.

It is important to aknowledge your success thus far even if you are far from finished. Thus, when given a compliment, smile and say thank you.

It sounds cheesy but you've got to love yourself.

Great job on your weight loss thus far!!
