Finishing out week 3 on Optavia down 10 pounds

Finishing out week 3 on Optavia down 10 pounds!

This week I did two things to modify my Optavia plan: I added DietDirect vegetarian chili because currently Optavia is sold out. It doesn't have the same nutritional profile as Optavia but I take supplements so I'm not worried about changing one fueling to a lesser brand. And I added intermittent fasting: I don't eat my first fueling until 11 AM. I know that goes counter to everything in the books but I have done IF in the past with great results. In this case it's nothing extreme like JUDDD, it's just that I've implemented a shorter eating window each day, like, 9 hours instead of 11.

So far, so good! My clothes are fitting better.

I also got a new scale with .1 increments because my old one was giving me wonky readouts.

It just occurred to me that I've earned my first "reward" (a Pedicure) but all the salons are closed. :(
I think my pedi salon moved a few chairs to the back patio, so I'm going to call them today anyway.

Kudos for reaching your 3 week milestone on Optavia.

Hope you find a way to get your pedicure reward.

Just curious if you are still doing Optavia and how you are doing with it?

Yes, I'm still on Optavia. I will be on it for six more months and then I will probably keep using it as needed in maintenance.

I was a little "bad" on Thanksgiving and then went to two small Christmas parties with my closest friends, so for three days in the past two weeks I have eaten too much. But even on those days, I stayed within reason. I never went over 1500 calories and I only stalled my weight loss for a few days. I ate one cookie, or I ate one tiny square of cheesecake, or I ate a small square lasagna. I drank a glass of wine three times last week! But in each case I relished every bite rather than stuffing it in like I usually do, and got right back on plan the next day.

The past several days I have been back on plan 100% and the weight loss has started up again. I am down 16.4 pounds. I still have a long way to go, but I am feeling encouraged that it's possible! (Yet again)

I find that yes, the food is expensive, but it's actually about the same cost as buying all the food I would normally have eaten.

How is everyone else doing?
