Need Help with the Medifast Soup Cup
Hi,
I have been on Medifast for a week. It is working well for me. I am not hungry through out the day. The one issue I have is that using the Medifast cup is that it constantly boils over in the microwave. I have lowered the MW power level and still have issues. Has anyone found a better cup tus use in the microwave? Thanks |
I'm not sure, but I'm of the impression that the cup is for measuring, not microwaving. Anyway, I'm not a fan of microwaving with plastic and have been using pyrex.
Also, prior to Medifast, I learned the advantages of microwaving soups and oatmeal at 50% power for twice as long, meaning no boil overs. (50% power means the microwave cooks at full power but stops (and starts again) for 50% of the time.) |
Hi Happy, and congratulations on starting MF. I started on Jan. 1, 2015 and have lost almost 50 pounds so far (232 to 184). I love the soups now that I learned how to prepare them. I highly recommend that you get a little Crock Pot (lunch box sized). I got mine from Amazon and I use it everyday to make the soups, chili, sloppy joe, etc. It will not cook immediately like the microwave, so I just plug it in in the mornings, and by lunchtime, my meal is ready. I hope this helps. Best wishes for continued success!

You are having amazing results! Congratulations! I started in January but have lost 15 pounds.
I usually microwave the soups in a large bowl instead of their plastic one. There's did not work for me either. The other thing about the soup is: I pour the water in it at least 3 hrs. ahead of time and then cook it later. It tastes much better.... to me anyway. I also add salsa to make it more flavorful. Keep up the GREAT JOB! I bet you're feeling great! |
