Day 3. 0 lost. :(

Hi all. I'm looking for some pep talks. I did MF once before and lost 15 in one month. Yay!!! Then I took time off,and then I ended up gaining back the 15 plus another 5. :(

So, I got back on the wagon. Trouble is, this is day three and I've lost nothing. I know it's early, but I lost a few pounds by now the first time I did this. It's so discouraging not to see the scale budge. I am going to stick it out this week, but if I don't see movement soon, I'm afraid I'll quit.

Does exercise affect it? I did go for a long run yesterday (even with the weight gain, I've kept up my distance running).

I don't want o feel sorry for myself. But I do want to see a little progress.

i believe it is suggested we refrain from exercise in the beginning. i did not see results except for a few tenths of a pound until day 5. i have lost almost 4 pounds week one.

Stick it out through the week, it's ONLY day 3. Stop exercising. You'll see something by then.

Thanks! I know it's so early still, but it would be nice to see a little progress. :)

What helped you get though the first week?

That's awesome! Wow! Keep with it!

Definitely stick with it! Day 3 you might not even be in Ketosis yet. I'm on day 8 of MF today. My counselor told me to not exercise at all for the first three weeks, just let your body adjust to the low calories.

Good luck!

Yes, exercise can affect it and they clearly ask that you either stop or reduce greatly when you begin. Your body needs a chance to adjust. Also, you are different now then you were before when you started so please give your body time to adjust. The yoyo diet syndrome effects us each differently but one thing is clear - it makes it harder to lose the next time around.

Stick with it, you can do this if you stay the course. I've been on for two full months now and next week I move in to month 3. I have lost a total of 20 pounds. I lost quite a bit my first week, barely anything my second and my third again I lost quite a bit. Remember what your goal is and stick with it.

Also, if you can reduce your exercise maybe walk instead of run it will probably help. Give it a try and see what happens. You CAN DO IT!!!

Thanks, Yvonne. :). Got on the scale today and saw I lost 3 pounds. Yay! My goal is 35 lbs. but not just that, but also to learn healthier habits and use food as a form of nutrition, not therapy. We'll see how it goes!

GREAT JOB!!! It's all in the effort you put forth and like you said; learning a new healthy lifestyle.

I'm looking forward to the day I can say I have a healthy outlook on food. I'm in the learning process of I can still do the thing I love and now just make it healthier. That's cooking/baking - I've made many changes to get to healthy and am hoping they stick.

I love this board because the folks here are so inspiring and it's a place of acceptance and understanding - whether you have 200 or just 30 pounds to lose - we are all here for each other.

Keep up the good work and keep posting.
