They added it because people like it and it doesn't cause a problem when used as directed (one Tablespoon MAX). They removed it because of feedback from people who were falling off the program left and right because they couldn't stop at 1 Tablespoon, were eating it more often or in higher quantities and messing themselves up and not losing weight. But, of course, if it is not a trigger for you it is fine to keep using it according to the 'old' rules.

PB2 is Amazing!

We found PB2 over the summer, and love it! It's a little on the sweet side, so I add a dash of salt to it when I'm eating it alone, however, in a shake, it's probably wonderful! Can't wait to try it!!

I am totally in love with peanut butter. I'm allowed to have a peanut butter sandwich for lunch (with imitation honey, on sara lee's 45 calories & delightful wheat bread), and luckily the "serving size" for regular peanut butter is plenty for that.
I gave "all natural" peanut butter a shot, but I just didn't take to it. It's not sweet at all and it's very peanuty. I like the fact that it tastes more like peanuts, but while working through that jar I discovered what I really love about peanut butter is its sweetness. So I'm back into Jif, and on my specific diet plan I can allow myself that sandwich once a day as long as I watch everything else fairly closely!

PS: Atkins makes peanut butter cups....they're ok. You might want to look into them though I'm not sure what kind of diet you're on.

I just started a couple weeks ago, so obviously no peanut butter on my list. What was the peanut butter... how much how often is OK.

I have only been doing the 5 Medifast Meals and the Lean and Green Meal. I haven't done any of the optional snacks. Do they slow the progress?

Thanks for answering my newbie Q's.

Hi HelloMeAgain,

The old Medifast guide allowed 1 tablespoon of peanut butter a day as an optional snack. I try not to have it more than twice a week, because I tend to eat more than 1 tablespoon. :o
