Total Carbs and fat amounts needed

Is there a chart that has the total of each MF wants us to stay in everyday to achieve the weight loss? Didn't loose any weight last week, my second week on the program, starting my third week today. I am having trouble with the lean and geen meal I guess because I am able to follow the plan otherwise.

5&1 PLAN
Calories: 800-1,000
Fat: at least 10g but less then 30g
Protein: more than 70g
Carbs: less then 100g

LEAN AND GREEN MEAL Out of that amount, this should be your "lean" portion :

Calories: 250-300
Fat: n/a
Portein: more then 25g
Carbs: less then 15g (the lower the better)
.
.

I have read that the lean & green can go up to 500. But the point of the plan is, you do not have to count calories or points or grams or nuthin'. Just make sure you follow directions.

People sometimes try to skimp on the lean & green. This is a recipe for disaster. Medifast is such a low-cal plan that you NEED to eat the ounces of meat specified and the amount of vegetables specified. Otherwise things don't work so well.

Also, make sure you are measuring the foods. Don't try to guess. 6 ounces of chicken is a lot of chicken.

Good luck!
Jay

If you take the 5 Medifast meals at approximately 100 calories each, then 300 for the Lean portion equals 800 calories. So yes you can go up to 500 for the total L&G if you prefer, which would equal 1000 calories. The table above I got from Medifast.
So yes you do want to watch calories, carbs, etc. This is a VLCD, Very Low Carb, and High Protien.
If you go too high, you will be out of Ketosis.

Lol, Jay, 6oz of chicken is a LOT of chicken! It was quite a surprise to find that they meant COOKED weight, not pre-cooked. :D

thanks for the tip Jay! I've been skimping on the greens. Hopefully I will have a better week now that I know better
