ZUMBA: A Valid Reason to Act Like a Maniac!

:carrot: I am soooo loving Zumba class!!! I have never had so much fun with exercise before! It is an intense, exciting, high calorie burning dance-a-pa-looza of a workout!!! And the older the participant, the more they shake it!!! I'm taming my batwings into submission and shimmying my hips and butt into fabulous shape! Can't get enough of Zumba...even bought a sexy coin skirt -- black w/ gold beads and coins....and now, I make music while I shake myself silly!!!! Any other Zumba-ists out there?

Best wishes for continued success!!

If you couldn't already tell from my user name, I am a Zumbera too!! I love Zumba and love getting other ppl excited about Zumba too! It really is a revolutionary workout program. I really want to become a Zumba instructor once I get into my best shape possible. I have never had as much success with any other program as I have had with Zumba. It's just FUN. Plain and simple. I'm really happy that you're enjoying it and are seeing results! Much luck to you! Let's spread the Zumba love on this forum!!! :carrot:

I am interested in starting Zumba. It looks like a hoot. Is there a tamer version to start off with? I watch the people on the ads and they are truly busting @$$.

*Holding Up Hand* ME, ME, ME!

:carrot: I am also a Zumba enthusiest!! I've been doing it on and off for the past year. And it is a BLAST!!!!

To wildgrits - There is a special class for 50+ aged people that is called "Silver" or something like that. I've found, thought, that if you just go to a class - stay in the back - and modify as needed...you can turn any Zumba class into a lower intensity class. When I have been away for awhile, I'm in the back going slower. But after a few weeks...I like to be near the front :-)

To ZumbaChica23 - I have a good friend who went through instructor training a few months ago. She now teaches several classes each week! And she is still on her weight-loss journey! Why wait...start now! :)
