Advice needed

Hi, all! I'm new to this board, but not new to Medifast. I'm hoping to get some feedback from anyone who has advice about my situation.

I have lost 40 lbs on MF but want to lose about 20 lbs more. Problem is I can't continue with the products anymore. Since I'm not at my goal weight, the MF nutritionists recommended I transition right now since I still have MF products. My question is, has anyone tried transition and maintenance without the use of MF products and just stuck to the allotted daily calories? For example, week one calories are 900-1050 with 5 MF meals, 1 L&G and extra cup of veggies, etc. What if I just followed the calorie amounts each week with whole foods and veggies? Weeks 4-8 allow 1350-1500 calories a week, which is what I want to continue to lose weight. BTW...nutrition support wasn't concerned with carb amounts in transition and maintenance, and I don't want to replace MF meals with other products. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

A day is more then just a calorie total. It's also vitamins, carbs, protein, etc. Everything the body needs to keep going. The MF meals are formulated to give exacting values of each. This is why they recommend transitioning while you still have products left over.

Yes, I understand the nutrition aspect. Like I mentioned, I'm not new to MF. I'm just looking for info from those who may have experience with T&M without the use of MF products since I can no longer use them. Thanks though! :)
