Difference between Men's & Women's MF
My husband and I are ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle and are choosing (after other attempts on other diets) to start with Medifast.
If we each order a package (one women's and one men's) - will we be able to tell which is his and mine once we open and store the items? I'm curious about this too, because - if there is not a difference... perhaps we can order just one package to last us for the first two weeks and make sure we are 100% on board with spending our $$ with Medifast (I'm a picky eater... but I also love looking up recipes to doctor things up). Reading threads this evening has me really excited to get started ;) |
The only thing I can think would be different in the Men's version is higher protein in the Shakes, and that would be printed both on the boxes and packets themselves :)
There is a "55" Shake with 11 grams of protein for women, and a "70" Shake with 14 grams, for men or very active women. Looking at the Medifast site, it's odd that they don't say WHAT the difference is, heh! I suspect it is the protein level in the shakes. You can call them to confirm though if you want to know for sure: 1-800-209-0878 :D Congrats on starting up! |
I gave them a call and there are some differences like you said 55 vs 70. I was hoping to save on shipping but I think it would be best for us to get a men and women package instead trying to share.
Thanks for the info! |
My husband and I have both been on MF for 10 days - we eat the same thitngs except for the shakes - it worked out well as there are some things I like and he doesn't! We both lost 10 lbs the first week!!!! The sugar free syrups are wonderful ( I found them at World Market) I also added spices to the soup and the oatmeal. It REALLY makes it easier as we are both committed - cruise in 9 weeks! I have been reading all of the posts and it really helps!
