Depressed my Medifasters

I fell off the wagon and I would be ok with it I think if I just didn't feel so depressed. I am powerless when it comes to food. I went out Wednesday night to wish a friend farewell and had planned to have a few drinks with him which I did Vodka and soda cause I wouldn't go out of ketosis. half way thru the night I am eating hummas and pita bread AND I come home and eat pasta. The morning before my demise I was 173 NOW 175.5...I feel FAT, UGLY, and an ultimate prisoner of food........

WILL IT EVER END?????

Uhg! It happens to the best of us though! Just pick yourself right back up and get back on the wagon. It only takes 3 days to get back into ketosis, so all is not lost! :)

One reason they recommend not having alcohol is because it is an appetite stimulant. That might be part of why you ate off plan. I know when I drink I can't stop myself from pigging out on french fries and anything else that I come across.

Also, I bet your weight gain was mostly water weight from the carbs and salty food. I doubt there's any way you ate 9000 calories (~3500 kcal = 1 lb). Just get back onto your Medifast plan and I'm sure it will come right back off!

You can do this!

Alcohol also lowers your inhibitions including ability to refrain. It's OK though. We all have slips. Changing such a big part of your life isn't easy. No one, especially you yourself, should demand perfection. You know what happened. It's over! Dust off and carry on. Think of the 8.5 you've lost and forget about what it was before your night out.:grouphug:

If we are in this for the long haul, a few days off are not going to hurt you.

Think about when you hit goal, you will be able to have a night like that and then watch it for a few days and be back at goal. How cool will that be??

You jump right back and don't think about it. Maybe stop weighing so often. There are those that weigh only once per month, I should do that too but it's hard not to be addicted to the scale!

Have a super weekend!! :dust:
