Creeping towards goal, unsolicited advice from a long term Medifaster

  • So here I am week 73 of Medifast and about 7 lbs from goal. For those of you just starting, keep with it. For most of you, it will not take you as long to lose weight as it has for me. I have seen many people on Medifast lose 100lbs in 8 or 9 months. However, everyone is different and you can't compare yourself to others, the important thing is to stay on plan and if you do "fall of the Medifast wagon" get right back on it, don't allow yourself to continue on that path thinking "well I blew it, so I might as well eat what I want". The Medifast forums were a tremendous support system, unfortunately Medifast has changed the entire website and it is not as active. However, you should read the forums, as there is lot's of advice and inspiration. Sandyskitchenadventures.com will give you terrific ideas for your L & G, you won't believe what you can do with cauliflower ! If you are on Facebook, there is a great group called "Sisters in Success" for anyone that is trying to get healthy, great group of ladies and highly entertaining ! Request to be added. It's also a private group, so no one but group members can see your posts. I have been some form of obese my entire life and I was seriously considering gastric bypass, Medifast was my last hope. I cannot tell you how it has changed my life. I am anxious to be at goal and even more anxious to start transition, but I will do this and so will you, don't give up !!

  • I haven't lost more than a pound a week, most weeks. It's OK. It's more than I was losing before Medifast.
  • I'm back on medifast. 150.8 toda, 137 will mark 100lbs loss. I'm hoping this year is my year.
  • Good for you FatAbbi! I'm shooting for around the same weight, 135. I gave up during the holidays. I'm also back with Medifast with a new resolve. It's time to take off the final 25 pounds!
  • I was on MF through TSFL, and stopped...and today is my second day. I could not believe they got rid of the posting forums! I'm glad I found 3FC!!

I'm hoping to lose 104 pounds. I'm taking it one hour at a time!
  • How's it going for you, Beth? I see you are also from Arizona, but in the snow country. I'm down in the Valley of the Sun. Are you a coach for TSFL? What are your favorite MF meals?

I broke out in this terrible rash today all over my body. I went to Urgent Care and they gave me allergy medicine, prednisone, and a cream to put on the rash. Hope this goes away soon!
  • I know this is an old thread, but as someone considering doing TSFL, it's nice to read this success story.
