Happy MF-ing Thursday! Did I do that right? It looks naughty!

You are all doing great! I am proud of my new buddies!

Thanks for the help Jen!

Well, I am finished with day 2 of my own MF plan. Remember I said my daughters and DH wanted to join me? Well they really aren't so I am going to give them another week and then I'll order MF and do it the proper way. It is hard to do it from the grocery store, easier to have it arrive in a box and be correct.

People are still bringing junk into work but I stayed away. Most everyone is trying to lose what they gained and they don't want to stuff at home. Wish they'd just toss it.

I too love coffee creamer. What kind can I use? I use the regular liquid with no flavor and then put in THREE splendas! Someone said I would get tired of the sweet and naturally cut back but it's been years and I haven't. lol

My daughter is planning her wedding for next January, in Wisconsin! I can't talk her out of it and everyone on our side including us lives out of town. We have family in CA, MN, NY, IN and if we get a snowstorm, the wedding could be really small.

Have a good friday!

So far so good. It's starting to occur to me that I'm not going to get the results I want if I cheat. No cheating here!

The peach oatmeal is really really nasty! I couldn't even hold my nose and eat it. It was the texture. So gross!

Hang in there everyone! We CAN do this!!

brookelizabeth, I used to use alot of creamer and I went black and have never gone back. That sounded odd, but it's true. Now I'm not that fond of creamer. Saves alot of calories too.....

You know, peach is my favorite for normal oatmeal but I think I'll give it a pass when I order!

Can you select what you want and do auto delivery?

It came, it came, it came!
My MF order came this evening around 5:00.
I am just about to go through it all and organize
it into daily ziplock bags. Tomorrow will be my 1st day
on the program. Melissa, how was your day...day 1 was
today, right?

I ordered the 4 week program on auto ship. It came with a Medifast book, which I will be reading cover to cover. I was worried that they would forget my week of free meals and I wasn't sure how I would know which ones were free but they are all bundled together and labeled 1 week free.

OK, I'm gonna go sort through my package. Yay!

Hi,

Free week consists of 5 boxes (35 meals) of the following:
cream of broccoli soup
chocolate pudding
vanilla pudding
hot cocoa
chai latte

You should see me right now
I am literally sitting on the floor surrounded by medifast boxes.
I am so thankful I found you guys!
I don't know if I could do this without you.
I really appreciate all the wonderful tips and words of encouragement.

Sounds like you got some yummy stuff!

I think what i found helpful is that this is not going to be wonderful food. This is going to be what keeps us alive while we lose weight. We eat it and move on with our day and hopefully, find it okay. That makes sense to me anyway.

Talking Guess who is Back?

Hi everyone!

I am glad to see that you kept on shedding pounds during the holidays... I did not... I went to meet my boyfriend's parents in AK for a while and her mom cooked a lot of soul foods... which was delicious and of course, I did not want to make a bad impression so i HAD to Eat all of it and ask for seconds... LOL! No, the truth is I loved her cooking and i did not feel like dieting during the holidays... I do regret this choice, but...

I am starting tomorrow (Friday). I have all my meals prepared in nice ziploc and i am now cooking my Lean and Green Meals for the next two days. I am gonna have some baked Talapia... Yummy! I love fish and i am going to have it a lot now...

Over the break i made the brownies recipe... and let me tell you... It was DISGUSTING! My boyfriend kept on saying that i was a chicken and that the food on MF was pretty good... It was just in my head... Well, he did not know, the brownies cooling in the kitchen were part of my diet, so he just assumed it was for him. I observed him as he took a huge bite of the MF brownies... He is a very easy eater... he loves everything... As soon as he started chewing, he just spitted it out and said: what on Earth is that?!? I thought it was hilarious.... Sorry i had to share... For the people having problems with their food, if you go to a Medifast center, they have an exchange program... I did not do the online ordering, i just went to a Medifast center.

I will be back in the morning to post my stats again and let you all know how it is going... I am glad to see that we have more people on this thread! Can't wait to make some new Skinny friends!

Yay Andie, I am SOOO glad your stuff came. WOO HOO. It's kind of like a late Christmas present, isn't it?

Yesterday was my first day and I have to say, it was soooo easy. Really, it was. I wasn't hungry, although I have to learn to STOP thinking about food all day. I literally kept what I was having next in my head all day, but I was suprised that all that I ate was good. I had the chicken noodle soup last night for supper and it was awesome....wasn't expecting that.

I ordered the two week program and I'm going to see how I do this weekend, and if all goes well (which I KNOW it will), I'm going to go ahead and get the four week program....might as well...no need to start and stop something this easy.

I didn't get a book with the two week program, so I am worried I'm off on something. When I log in my daily meals on the MyMedifast.com site, it is showing that I am low on my greens. I am having the packages during the day, and my LG at night, which I usually do a Boca/Morningstar something, since I'm not big on meat, and I pick a green from the list and it tells me that it's usually .5 of a cup...so that's all I have...how can I be low when that's what they're telling me to have???

Should I be supplementing more stuff in during the day? Like veggies or something?

My calorie count for yesterday with my LG meal was 884 and today is is 896. I just thought you were suppose to have the packages as I call them and then add in a LG meal.

HELP....

Good luck today Andie, I know you're going to do great.

Hi there . . .

I'm back after a very, very, busy ten or eleven days in Ontario. Actually got home late on Wednesday after a horrible three hour trip from the airport in blizzard conditions. To make things worse, my luggage didn't arrive here until about 5 pm yesterday because somebody else grabbed it in Halifax. think I'll stencil some cats all over it or something to make it distinctive since obviously people don't bother reading the name tags.

Speaking of cats . . . they are all doing fine; although, judging by the things they broke and messed up, I guess they were a little bored while I was gone.

Have to report a five pound gain over the month of December and I'm going to try to get my act back together in the sane eating and exercising departments for January and then think about Medifast for February since I know my BGL has been just about as bad as my eating and the doctor would never okay me to start right now.

Just wanted to say a quick HI -- haven't even had a chance to read through even this thread yet -- wow, it's already 85 posts long in just 4 days -- nice to see we have lots of new members, too. See you all later, gang.

Quickie as my cousin is here visiting. We are not eating Medifast but starting tomorrow....

Melissa, you should have about 1½ cups of veggies not just ½ cup. Eat those greens!

Gotta dash as we have to pay a visit to Harry at the nursing home before his lunch.

I'm thinking we should have a medifast subforum and will work on that with Suzanne - maybe by Monday.

Congratulations Mellissa on making through your first day, you had an incredible challenge at work. I've stuck to the plan and am losing weight but I think I have to wean myself off the scale; I must weigh myself 5 times a day. New plan is not to weight myself until Monday, this may be as difficult as not eating junk food. Maybe I'll just drink water when I get the urge to weigh myself. Love Medifast though!!

Hi all,
I have to let you know you all have inspired me to try this diet. I ordered a 2 week supply for me and my DH. I can't believe he wants to try it but I'll take it. It's not coming until next week. I have some questions.

Where do you order from?
I used the MF website but there were other sites that offered MF. What's the difference/benefits??

Plus, to ship 3 days was $50 more!!! I live in MA! What's up with that?? Was that b/c I ordered for 2 weeks?

How do you find the costs?

Is it more expensive to you? the same as any other diet? Less?

It seems as though it would be cheaper in the long run. I have always thought I spent more money when I was on WW or the thousands of other programs I tried.

I'm choosing this program b/c I don't want to think or choose too much in the beginning. I just want this weight off my body! The results seem fast. i know nothing is easy but I have 100+ to lose. I want to feel good. I haven't in a while. I have lost and found lots of weight on WW, Atkins, nutrisystem (the older version) and other diets. I feel as though I'm at the end of my rope.

I'm sure I'll have a million more questions. Looking forward to losing!! Good luck to all!!

Brooke,

I always used the liquid but now I use the powder and I put 1-2 packets of Splenda in my coffee. My friend who started me on MF told me it is ok to used half and half. I don't mind the powder though and really want to cut calories wherever I can.

I would like to ask others if they have ever used MF without having a Lean and Green meal. Sometimes I find it hard to want to eat solid food. Occasionally food seems to weigh heavy in my stomach, almost as though I've eaten too much but yet I know I haven't. For example..today I ate two veggie burgers w/cheese and other veggies. I realize I need to eat it all so that I get my vitamins but right now my stomach feels heavy. Does that ever happen to anyone else?
