Overcoming Binge Eating

  • Has anyone read this book? What are your thoughts? It seems more clinical than some of the other books out there. Also, it's somewhat old (1995). I kind of liked it.

One thing i didn't like about it was how he says you're not allowed to count calories--and yet you're supposed to label "good" days and "bad" days. How can you label a day as good or bad unless you have some frame of reference?

One thing i thought was interesting was that he says it's important not to have any forbidden foods. I've sort of incorporated this into my current strategy. I eat anything--not every day--but there are no forbidden foods.

Overall, i think most of what he says is applicable to me. What do you think?
  • I haven't read it, but I'm on a quest so I will look it up and get back to you. I have one book ahead of it, so might take me a week or so.
  • Hm, I don't find it by that title. Can you put a link to it?
    ETA - found it.
