Question about potatoes ????

I have an unusal question about potatoes.

I now substitute the grilled veggies for the baked potato when eating out.
My husband loves the interior potato but he never eats the skin,
I love the skins..... so ... is it the white center potato that is high in carbs ?
Can I eat the skin he leaves. ?? I would think it would be the main fiber of the potato.

Fitday tells me: 115 calories, 27 grams of carb with 5 of fiber, 2 grams of protein.
I guess it depends on you but skins are yummy - especially with butter!

Thanks Ruth. I also posted this in an Atkin site and I have gotten an array of answers.
The lowest count I recieved was 4-5 grams carbs with .9 fiber.
The hightest was 43 carbs with no mention of fiber.

I only know that I agree.... the skins are yummy :T and I think they will be an occasional treat when going to our favorite steak house. :)

It is good to see you still posting. I am on reinduction as of 9-22-04
Hopefully ... no DEFINITELY.... I am going to WIN at losing this time. :strong:
