First Day
Hi All,
Well today is my first day on the L O W C A R B diet lol. After yesteday's fieasco of stuffing everything and anything into my mouth...OY. Wish me luck. Did you ever want something so bad it makes you feel sickened inside...well thats how bad I want to lose weight. If anyone has any advice or tips I surely would appreciate it. Anything. I know I can not do this without the help of my Lord and Saviour Jesus so I am praying every day for the strength that only comes from Him. Thanks friends! Love, Leens |
Hi Leens
First off, drink your water! Really honestly that is the first step to success, drink enough fresh water. I start by drinking a 2cup glass right after I wake up, then 2 with breakfast (thats half of the intake you should minimun have!) Also this way you can have pee breaks before you need to go to work! Next , try to get the foods that you will need into your house. Plan snacks and eat them, you don't ever need to be hungry. Go to the library and pick up a book called Living Low Carb , by Fran McCullough, its very good at hints. And next step , try to enjoy this woe, it works well, and makes you feel good! Cheers Suzanne |
Hi Little sister! I'm collecting titles of books about Low and Lite Carbing. Am a little confused yet-even with all the help in this forum. Oh duh, am kind of slow sometimes!:dizzy:
I know you will do well with this,Leens, cause I've never heard you so determined! How is our little girl doing now on soy formula? DD told me many babies do very well on it. What do you mean..no goat? God bless! |
Tip, you KNOW Leens doesn't need a goat! They get up on the roof and you have to go get them off because they interfere with chat! Kind of like a metal bra interfering with cable transmission.

Ruthie.....GOAT on my roof........shoot ladies you know I'm afraid of heights....yes even though I am 5'10" ROFL.
Tip, I think you will enjoy low carbing because your not starving every hour for something to eat and the weight does come off (my opinion anyway). When I did diets that I ate lots of carbs on......boy did it drive me nuts cause it was like a vicious cycle, I'd eat carbs in the am and it would trigger something the rest of the day......I was constantly hungry. With low carbs the proteins fill your tummy and satisfy your cravings. But give it a few weeks because I found that in the begining like any diet it is trial and error. Once you have it down pretty well you will enjoy it. And just think you can enjoy beef jerky, which I have to make some (just don't make any with sweet sauces on it). Let me know in your research if you find anything interesting, I'm always open to learn new things. Zan, thanks for the tip......I can use all the help I can get. Yes I agree WATER WATER WATER...what else flushes out that nasty fat and helps filll your belly. So far today I am doing good. I've had 2 HUGE cups of coffee and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (FF) and a piece of beef jerkey. I think I will make some chicken and leave it in the frig for easy pickins. Have a WONDERFUL Day..........Love Leens :dizzy: :dizzy: |
HI ZAN!!!! long time no see.
Leens. just make the determination that you have the final say in anything that goes in your mouth you are in charge. within a few days you will stop staring at the bread drawer, and stop hanging out near the pantry, (it that has not gone, then post your meals there may be some hidden carbs that can trip you up) I find that posting the food is very helpful you will be more honest and then if you have to post if then you are more likely to not eat it!!! good luck |
