Hi Angelsglitter!
You poor thing! Yes, constipation can be a problem in the beginning. I follow the CAD program and would like to offer you just a few reminders or tips. Are you drinking enough water? Are you eating greens such as gabbage? (always helps me) There is a tea that I have used called "Dieters Tea". I do not make it full strength according to the box directions but about half strength. I drink it with a bit of Splenda and lemon at night... in the morning...relief! I'm sure there will be more knowledgeable chicks here shortly to help you "work out" this problem soon. J |
I had the same problem, drank more water, exercised a little more and added a salad!!! I also eat a piece of fruit each day on an empty stomach!

Magnesium. that is a supplement that many require and that will take care of the contipation. give it a try as well as the water. good luck

Thanks girls, I will add more water and salad.. So can you eat fruit on this plan? I find it hard to think of things to eat with no bread or pasta or crackers, or chips, cake or pie.. there is not much left.. Vicky

Hi Lilac. I thought you said you were following CAD. Doesn't that mean you can have a one hour reward meal every day during which you can eat just about anything as long as it's balanced 1/3 protein, 1/3 low carb veggies and 1/3 higher carb food? That would be the time to eat your fruit, pie, bread or even pasta. There's no need to go without the food you love on CAD or CALP. That's what the Reward Meal is for...so you don't suffer any feelings of deprivation. Re-read your book and study their menu plans. I'm sure you can enjoy a lot more foods than you think and you shouldn't suffer any constipation because you'll be getting lots of fiber, especially at your RM.
