Momentous Decison!

After 40 plus years of weighing myself every darn morning, I AM NOT REPLACING THE SCALE THAT BROKE LAST WEEK!
Methinks the lower weight encouraged me to allow more leeway and a higher weight gave me the What The **** Syndrome!
Last weight I got was 212 - next weight will be at the doc's in mid October.
I will probably go into scale withdrawal for the next few weeks! Just ignore me, OK?

Ruth I shuld be so lucky I get on that metal monster several times a day. I can not help my self. i use it to monitor my fluid, as i know that my real weight will not fluxuate that much daily!!! I just wish that i was able to stay off it, but atleast i am not eating my carbs:D more power to you for staying away. i will be thinking of you!

Since I started taking BP meds, I have a TERRIBLE:( problem with water retention. It's no doubt due to other medical problems too. My point is that I can't depend on the scale to tell my a darn thing! I never weigh myself anymore. I depend on how my clothing feels. Even that isn't dependable as I retain water more some days than others. So...listen to your body more than some foolish mechanical thing that lays on the floor! God bless!;)

Ruth!
Don't go throwing out your old scale. Just send me your goal weight number and I will stencil ya up a nice sticker to put on the offensive part of the scale. This way you can step on it and say..."See! I am Perfect!" No fuss, no muss! :D

But! I seem to have the same problem I get to a certain number and feel like I have to eat my way up to 5 pounds heavier....sheesh  This I need?

Ruth, I don't blame you at all--I never had a scale until a just before Christmas and I hate the darn thing. I'm just obsessing now about every single little pound and feeling discouraged or happy about my weight ups and downs. I wish I had never bought the thing. Wanna come here and break mine?

Good for you girlfriend! I haven't stepped on my home scale since I discovered it weighs me in at 15 lb less than the one at Weight Watchers. SHEESH!!! I needed to know I was really 15 lb heavier than I'd thought.

Right on!

I haven't weighed myself in years! I go by how well my clothes fit and how I feel.

The clothes in my closet range from size 12 (rarely fit) to size 16; when I discovered that the 16s were feeling snug, I knew something had to be done -- nothing fits, but I don't want to buy more clothes!

Down with scales! They don't measure how well you feel, anyway.
