Talking New Low Carb Chick

I just wanted to ask you all for any good advice you might have for people who are new to the low carb diet. My husband, who is moaning and groaning about doing atkins, and I are trying to make some changes. I am personally at my highest weight EVER! So please impart your wisdom and any good advice you think we might need! Thanks for the support!

welcome elizabeth!

I've been Low Carb since October 2004 and while, it's not atkins, there are alot of similarities...

advice- stick with it, the first couple weeks are the hardest and you'll feel so much better about yourself if you can stick with it....
and if you fall off the wagon one day, that's fine, but get back on the VERY next day... don't want for monday to restart your diet...

anyways, welcome- you'll get lots of info and support here!

Hi Elizabeth!

Welcome to the most supportive board you will ever find. People here are amazing, wonderful, kind, loving . . .

I've done Atkins since June of 04. During that time, I've lost almost 95 pounds on the program. All I can tell you is stick with it! If I can do it, anyone can! Check out the bars and candy. They are so good and keep you going. If you need help, give me a yell! Good luck and congratulations on making a change that will change your life!
