Hi,
It's foggy here this morning. It's supposed to start getting warmer, or so they say. :crossed: We had some sun yesterday, but it clouded over and had showers on and off. It got into the 60's. We've got both the cottage and the shed cleaned out. DH brought just about everything from the shed to the dump. We had to use gloves to do the shed because of a lot of little critters had been living in there during the winter. :p nikki, going to the casino and cruising down the Mississippi River sounds like a fantastic idea. You will have a lot of fun. The cruise down the Mississippi River sounds delightful. I know from what you said about DH's aunt, she would approve. I know what you mean about some people stopping to talk. We have a few people in our area during the summer we try to avoid, but it's not only us who try to avoid them either. ;) The frozen dinners seem to be going ok. The only thing I don't like about them is the fact they use white pasta and white rice. Hi ANNE...lynn  Hope everything is going well with the both of you. I'm off later this morning to meet my girlfriend for lunch. We're meeting at the Olive Garden and I hope I can be good by getting their soup and eating ONLY 1 breadstick. :eating2: Have a great day! :balloons: Aleka |
Hi Everyone: Have you missed me? When we arrived the winter had been hard on the trailer. The frost had shifted the trailer and and poped the lock on the patio doors, the door's were open when we got here and we have had a lot of rain, we are damp to say the least. The tip pout in the living room was leaking, to say the least I was a VERY unhappy camper. Oh Yes we had a leak under the sink, Welcome back to Rice lake NOT!!!!! id the best we could and left for GTA for my Dr's apointment. Still having problems with BP am on a new drug and was given a BP monitor and have to phone in or enter my Bp on their site 3X a week. Interesting eh? Anyway I havn't much time just got back and have GREAT news. I received a early Mother's day present from DD, a year and a half old welsh springer spanial we are calling Mya. She is adorable.I will go into details tomorrow but she is a treasure. I havn't had a chance to read all posting so will do so and talk to you tomorrow.

Good evening,
Lynn, welcome back :grouphug: I (we)missed you and worried about you, but didn't want to say anything. I was wondering about your b/p and looks like they will be monitoring you pretty closely. It is interesting the way the are doing it, but it looks like it is a better system than recording it and bringing it in, if you use the computer. Real sorry to hear about the trailer. It would be so nice to just open up a window, dust a few things, throw on some clean linens and say your done, wouldn't it? We spent the last month getting the camper ready to go. Lots of broken water parts (even though it was full of antifreeze), leaking roof, etc. You know the story. Very frustrating. How wonderful about the puppy, your so lucky :) What does DH say about that? Can't say much now can he  Your DD is a sweetie :chockiss: We will be leaving either in the morning or early afternoon to go to DH's aunts funeral. We won't be back til real late on Sat or early Sun. Will check in before we leave. I'm pooped from trying to get everything ready to go. OMG it's 94 degrees here. We are melting and miserable. DH thinks it's too early to turn of the ac. I'm glad I'm not having a hot flash, I'd have to over ride his ruling on that. Well, better get back to it, take care, Nikki |
Hi!
lynn, Welcome back!!! Congratulations on your new puppy. :cp: I wish you many..many years of happiness with her. Sorry to hear about your b/p and your trailer. Do you have a lot of work to do? That's good they can keep track of you b/p via computer. Good luck with your b/p. It should go down with the new puppy. ;) nikki, have a safe trip tomorrow. I will be thinking about you these next coupld of days. My girlfriend and I went to the Olive Garden for lunch, and they now offer whole-wheat pasta. I was pleasantly surprised to see the substitution on their menu. We met in Concord, our state's capitol and it was 76 deg. when I left. When I arrived home, which is about a 45 min. drive north, it was 65 deg. :censored: Have a good evening everyone. Aleka |
Hi All: It is about 60 here but what the **** I have shorts on anyway!!! The sun is out so it is nice on the deck. Yes Nikki you do know the drill, as I'm sure Aleka as a cottage owner does also. The winter's always leave a reminder behind doesn't it? Aleka the work never stops!! just like a house only different. Right now my kitchen sink pipes are torn apart and we are waiting for a part to come in. I have yo get water from the bathtub in a bucket in the sink to wash dishes than I have to dump it in the toilet when done. It's a good thing I am in a good mood because of my dog or I would be whinning like crazy and demanding to go home. The dog LOVES DH is his shadow, also loves the water so have to watch her closely until the water warms up, Don't want her to suffer like poor Coco did with her arthritis. Well time to get to work will be back later

A good morning to you all, :coffee:
We have gotten the time for the closing on the cottage. It's going to be Wed. afternoon. If all goes as planned, hopefully DH & I will be going back down to FL to look at some more houses just before Mem. Day weekend. Even though he said he wanted to stay in NH, we still looked at houses. We went to an open house and if we had the money to put down on it, we probably would've bought it. The swimming pool area was the length of the back of the house, and the livingroom had sliding glass doors that led out to the pool area. At that moment both of us said we could see ourselves living like that. So, we're on again about moving to FL. lynn, sorry about all the trouble you ran into when opening up your trailer. Yes, I know all about things that can happen to a closed up summer place over the winter. That's awful about your kitchen pipes. Are these pipes in your home or summer home? I also can relate to living without running water. :headache: :censored: Hope you get the problem fixed soon. On a brighter note, Mya sounds adorable. Glad that she's following your DH around. I was wondering how he felt about getting the puppy. I'm sure he's as in love with her as you are. Hi ANNE and nikki  Enjoy your Sat. Aleka |
I'll start a new thread, unless Anne is doing it
