Thanks Nikki! I forgot about Flylady. When I quit working over 3 years ago I had just read about her in Times. I was terrified I would spend all my time in front of the tube or on here so I joined that group. She got me orgainized. I would do everything the emails said. I got the emails for over 6 months than stopped them. I still to this day follow the routine that I started with the club. God did you bring back memories. When I was working things like cupboards, closets etc. were to say the least let go. I did all my work in the house on a Sunday than whinned about losing a day off to the laundry and housework. By friday & sat. the place was a disaster and I was in the CHAOS mode. Well my painting with DH has come to a screeching halt. I am sick of him and I'm sure he is sick of me. I got the worst job the railings and trim. He was rollering and doing some cutting in so you would think he was to busy to watch me WTONG!!!!!! I was going to fast, go over that again. I managed to finish when all he has to do is roll and have left him. What an impossible jerk, I didn't have time to observe his mistakes oh I forgot he is perfect, how silly of me!!!! Well enough of that. I am going to bookmark those sites for the middle of the night entertainment. Talk to you later

Lynn,
You've got me in stitches. :lol3:  You and your DH sound just like me and mine when we try to work together. These guys must be brothers with different mothers, because that's exactly what mine is like. I've pretty much got the flybaby thing in the bag, but I still like to get her emails. I don't do the zone cleaning as much as I should, but I do keep up with my routines and my weekly home blessing still is only one hour. I've never had such a clean house in my life. Plus, she's helped me to face my finances and start to deal with the mastercard bill from **** I bought her large feather duster and I love it. It is expensive, but I use it every few days and have no dust. This is an accomplishment, since we live next to a highway and the dust from the side of the road is always blowing all over everything here. Later, Nikki |
Morning All: It is a beautiful day here, 1 more hour to do on deck and the job from **** is over!!!!!! Next time you post Nikki put the time that you are posting. The times appear to be off. Just spent some time looking around the site for a post by Sugar (couldn't see any) have you seen any? I hope something hasn't happened for her to have stopped so suddenly. That is the problem with a site like this, we let people into our lives sharing a part of our lives and they just disappear and you have no way of knowing why. She did a lot of posting and I can't beleive she would just stop like she did. DUST Nikki, I live in the sand capital of the world, than if I don't get enough dust in the winter I than move to the trailer were we have the lake on front and a unpaved road at the back. It is the road that goes to the pool, sports facilities and the store. You would not beleive how many people will get in their cars and drive to the pool or the tennis courts. Makes no sense to me I use those new dusters that are disposible I have oftem looked at her products but you said it was expensive, just think of that with Canadian dollars, shipping and maybe customs now at that price I could hire a maid. Have you ever listened to the flylady on her radio show? I did a few times and will listen again. I'm sitting here in my nightgown and I have been up for 2 hours. Now we know that is a no no but I have clean sinks beds made, bathroom cleaned and dusting done. I have got real slack about getting dressed in fact I often don't get dressed until my work is done and I am going to have a shower. Oh well still ok in my books. Anne, I can't beleive Farah Khan's step-mother only got 2nd. degree murder. What was that jury thinking!!! Aleka how is your weather? When do you leave to come home. Well I will be back later, apparently DH has a couple of things for me to help him with. Oh Joy!!! Later

Good morning,
Lynn, I've used the feather dusters from Walmart (they are short and kind of like Flylady's) and they worked ok. I've used the disposable and they worked ok too. The reason I like the big one from her is that the feathers are long and full. The handle is also longer. I can reach up to the ceiling with it and the ceiling fans easily. It would probably be expensive to get one up to Canada. I bet you do have a ton of dust at the trailer. Aren't people lazy? I use to be one of them myself and shouldn't talk. But I will anyway  I am always amazed at people that park right out side of the store. They don't use the parking places in the parking lot, they park in the fire zone. (You'd think with all the security and people worried about safety, they would put a stop to that). I suppose they figure they are just running in quick, but it's rude. Sometimes, there are so many cars parked in front of the entrance to Walmart, you can barely get your cart through them. Then they wonder why this nation is the fattest on earth. I mean, jeez, nobody makes an effort to do the easiest things anymore. There are remotes for everything, so you barely have to lift a finger. I'm going shopping today and have to get a new pair of shoes to work out. My shoes are getting where they are rubbing my toes raw. I don't do everything that Flylady says, but I do things the way that works the best for me. I do have to tell you one time it worked out pretty good to be dressed and have my make up on. I don't always do that, but last summer, I had gone all out and was looking pretty good. By chance an old flame stopped by (he thought DH and I were split up, because the truck and camper had been gone for awhile, we had gone camping). I was home everyday to feed the animals and there he was in the driveway. I felt so good that I was all fixed up and not in an old stained shirt like I use to be. He was the one guy in my life that I loved probably too much. He treated me like a doormat and left me for some other woman. Come to find out, she had dumped him and he was wanting to get back together. After I told him I was happily married and we were camping, he looked like I'd kicked him in the :censored: All I can say is HAHAHAHA  . I was so glad I'd taken the time to take a shower and get fixed up first thing that morning. Now, I usually work out and do about an hour of work before I shower. I worry about Sugardrop too. I feel the same way. There have been people that will post here for awhile and then just stop. I wish they'd drop a note and explain why, because I wonder if something really bad has happened. You never know, she may just be in high gear with the up coming wedding and not have time to post. I liked her alot and miss her. Well, got to run, big day ahead. Have to travel up to the big city to go to the mall and then to Walmart for groceries. It seems like I'm at Walmart every day. Nikki |
Lynn,
I forgot, why do you think the times are off? It's 4:04 pm on my computer clock. We'll see how it compares to 3fc. Was it something I said? Sometimes, I am not always awake when I'm posting and might have said good morning when it was night, I'm often mixed up  Nikki |
Good evening ladies!
Hope everyone is doing well. This is the first time I've been able to post. I hate fighting with this keyboard. :bomb: :headache: :censored: It is startiing to get hot, it was 87 deg. and the humidity is getting worse. I can't believe that our vacation is almost at an end. We'll be leaving for home Monday. Actually I'm looking forward to it. DH & I went out to lunch at a restaurant beside one of the channels so there are a lot of birds begging for food. We were eating outside and this good sized bird, a little smaller than a Pelican, but not by much, hopped onto the railing beside where we were eating and kept eyeing our food. We were laughing so hard. DH would shoo it away by waving a roll of papertowels in front of it, only to have it come back again and again. Finally one of the servers lured it away with a piece of shrimp. All of us Hyacinth Bucket fans will know what I mean when I tell you we had a waterside lunch with riparian entertainment. lynn, I'm glad that you made out ok with those storms. Have you started to open up your trailer yet? nikki, that's a great story about your old flame. There's nothing better than that to boost the old ego. ;) Thanks for all the websites. I plan on getting into them when we get home. When you have your frozen dinners, do you make something else like a salad or vegetables to go along with them? I too am concerned about Sugar. I sent her a PM before I left on vacation, but haven't heard from her. Are you talking about the time being off on 3fc? When the time changed I had to go into my personal file and change the time. ANNE, hope you're having a peaceful time at work with  away. How is she doing? Hope everything is going ok for you. As I mentioned earlier, we're leaving Monday, so I don't know if I will get another chance to post agaiin. If not, I'll "see" you Friday. We plan on arriving home Thurs., but don't know what tiime. If I don't get a chance to post, have a wonderful weekend and a good week. Good night, Aleka |
The forum is back up, I'll start a new thread.
