I found this website thru someone at the Low Carb Friends Website. It's a Basal Metabolism calculator and it tells you how many calories you need daily just go keep your body functioning, depending on your age, weight and height. The results do NOT include what you need to do even moderate exercise like tying your shoes or getting out of bed. If you read the entire article, you will see that it recommends women eat about 200 calories MORE daily than their metabolism requires just to exist. It told me I need about 1800 calories daily just for normal bodily functions such as breathing, blood circulation, etc. If I add 200 cal. per day on top of that, I should still lose weight at 2000 calories a day especially if I exercise.
Well, I haven't been losing at 1,500 to 1,600 so what have I got to lose by eating more...low carb, of course? At this point, anything is worth a try. The only trouble is that I get so full I just can't eat another bite. LOL How weird is that?! :lol:
