Default Talkin' Tuesday

hello all. i hope all of you will be having a great day wherever you may be.

i got on the scales today to see 186.4. this is 2.2 down from yesterday. so, i'm changing my loss for the week from .4 to 2.6. woohoo. we will be having dinner with our landlord and his wife on thursday evening. there are not a lot of low carb choices in turkish cuisine, especially when you are not in a restaurant. so, i'm expecting to be off plan that night. my plan is to keep carbs as low as possible during the day to help lessen damage that night. i'd better go for now and grab something for lunch. still can't exercise due to this flu. oh well, i'm taking a second day of little housework for r & r. i think i deserve it after last week. have a great day!

Good afternoon, fullfig, and good morning to the chicks on this side of the Big Pond!

fullfig! Isn't it ironic when your weight drops the day after your weigh-in. It sounds as if you have a good plan when you are going out to dinner tonight.

I am not even going to discuss my loss except to say it's a negative loss! Stress/emotional eating is doing me in. The good news is that I am now recognizing what I'm doing. So far today I've been OP but I've been up for only an hour!

Happy Tuesday in the Low Carb Coop.

Happy Tuesday!

fullfig-hope you get to feeling better soon.

Ruth - hang in there. sometimes we have to take things one hour at a time. good for you for having the clarity to see what you were doing wrong and trying to change it. You and Harry are in my thoughts.

Morning all,

I'm with Ruth---just can't seem to get With the program. I don't know where to start. BIL started 2 weeks ago, he has 16 lbs gone. Why didn't I start like I was going to???
Maybe today-sofar so good. I am home with pinched nerves in neck and back. I will go back to work Saturday.

Hi Pooky and Miree.

Well all for now.

Good afternoon, I hope all you chickies get to feeling better soon.

I've dropped my total cholesterol by 26 points. YIPPEE. Still on the high side at 221 but improving.

Watched instructional video for bodyflex plus this morning. Will put it into motion tonight. Somebody please antagonize me about my lack of exercise and water consumption. I need some pressure...PLEASE.

Have a super day gals.

Fullfig, good for you on your loss. I showed no loss at all for my WI yesterday but this morning it looked as if it was down a pound and a bit. It is a strange phenomenon. I think our bodies hold onto weight out of stress thinking about the WI.

Supersize, fanatastic news about your cholesterol. This woe really does work for good health. As for BF, you know what a booster of that workout I have become. I may not be showing the pounds and inches gone that other Body Flexers report, but now, when I'm sitting in a chair, I have a definite indentation between midriff and belly. That was not there before BF. Doing the routines first thing in the morning really gets me going for the day. Must be all that oxygen. My pants are flapping much looser around my legs and my boobs seem perkier (that could be wishful thinking though )

I've been searching for best flight prices to Edinburgh for Christmas. So, I get all the info and the tickets on hold when dh says "Maybe the kids would rather come home for Christmas than have us go there" . MEN!! He'd be willing to pay for them to come here with new baby than to trouble himself to go there. Anyhow, I have posed the question to daughter and am awaiting her reply. Not sure if her hubby has enough time off for the holidays to come here. It really doesn't matter to me either way. I'd love to see their little home and all the work they've done on it but I know it would be wonderful for her to be here so we can show off baby to all our family and friends and she can visit her old pals while we babysit.

I can't leave home today because I'm waiting for a delivery from my low carb food supplier. This time I ordered two different flavors of Flax o Meal cereal. One is called Cherry Nutrageous Granola (should be good with my home made yogurt) and the other is Butter Pecan hot cereal. I've quite enjoyed the Hazelnut but have run out. Also ordered a chocolate dessert topping because I couldn't get DaVinci Low Carb Syrup in chocolate. Got vanilla this time but the syrups make the yogurt quite runny. I've discovered if I add a tablespoon of ground flaxmeal to the yogurt, it thickens right up again. Total order, including delivery and taxes is $50.92. Yikes! I'm wondering if it would be worth a 40 minute drive down to Wa. and scouting out a health food store there.

I know you can do it Fullfig!

Linda, I've noticed a loss in flab around the belly and on the back but I haven't noticed any perkiness. Haha! What are you doing that I'm not?...please share...

I'd rather lose the flab around my abs and belly. I guess perky boobs come easy to me because I've never had much up top. One of the few places I can't complain about being too big. Darn.
