How much wt did you lose on your first week?
I am just wondering what the norm is. I really was militant about staying OP. I weighed this morning and am really surprised. I just wonder what everyone else's experience has been.

I lost 5 pounds the first week. Nothing the second and 1 the third. Down a total of 6 and 37 still to go *sigh

Am I reading your post right, Carol? Did you actually gain even though you were strictly OP? That's a shame. Perhaps you should post your menus here so some of the experts can help you out.

Hi Carol.......if I remember correctly, I lost 11 lbs the first week, and 4 the 2nd.

There are really many factors that ifluence any weight loss the first week.
one if you have done this woe before, 2 TOM 3 fluid intake if you eat salty foods IE bacon and ham you WILL retain fluid and 2 cups of fluid is 1 lb so do not judge the scale give your self a month to even out before you go by the weight loss on the scale |
I just finished my first week on Atkins and I lose 9 pounds. My fiancee is also doing atkins--he lost about 12 pounds. We,however, both have a lot to lose. I'm 5'2 and started at 252. He is 6'1 and started at 305. We were very good about being op this first week. Having such a great weight loss really helped me to stay on the program.

She didn't gain she lost 12 pounds. Some of you read it wrong. That's great Carol. I will weight tomorrow as it will be the end of my first week. I'll post mine then. Good job. That's not unusual the first week.

I just finished my 2-week induction last Saturday - I followed it to the penny and I lost only 4 lbs .. but am very happy with that - I am a slow loser and I feel so much better! No heartburn and no stomach problems! WTG everyone - keep up the good work! I check in here every day .. this is my 1st post in the low-carb section. Thanks for all your support and helpful tips.

I just finished my first week on induction and I am down 9 pounds. Now for week 2.:lol:

First Week
I just finished my first week on Tuesday. I lost 14.2 lbs. Nothing so far for Week #2.
