Early afternoon here as I write this. The skies just opened up just as dh was getting set to power wash the patio. Ain't it always the way? Another layer of algae to be washed off when he finally gets to it.
I've been lazy today with the exception of baking a couple of loaves of bread. I usually start the dough in my bread machine and finish it in bake pans in the oven but today I used my Kitchen Aid mixer to prepare the dough. It sure rose high. I should have used my larger pans I think. THe loaves pouffed right up and over the sides. Sure smells good and wish I could have some but that's a no-no.
Yesterday I picked up the South Beach Diet book that I'd had on order from my local book store. I was all set to get going on it again today and then the blueberry/rhubarb squares called my name and before I knew it I'd gobbled up several economy size slabs. SHAME! It's like once I start I just can't seem to stop. There's a devil  in me saying "It's ok. Just one more won't make a difference". GAAAHHHHHHH!! :stress:
I've made my big recliner chair wonky again. It looks sturdy and it's very comfortable but I guess it doesn't like my bulk so now when I push it into recline, it won't come back up again. I have it upside down at the moment, hoping dh will fix it for me. I can see where the metal accordion thingies are pulling away from the wooden frame. Darn. I hate when that happens.
I hate being fat but I guess not enough to actually stick with a diet that will help. :?:

Hi All

Day 2 for me, going good so far. Threw in some "roughage", as 1st day was pretty bad stomach wise.

Does anyone ever use the chat, or just stay in touch through the threads?

:?:

nasus40 05-24-2003 06:14 PM

I personally do not use chat as time is of the essence for me. no time to chatt. when i do next thing I know 3 hours has passed.

I know several of the ladies have chatted before and probably get on regular like.

Today Still OP. Dipping into the PB on celery as I am starving.

I started to clean out my closet as i can no tput away my "small clothes" untill I have room. and my large stuff is sitting on my dressers waiting to go in the drawers. I think the energy is just starting to return. I love this WOE. I get so much more done and feel soo good!!!

I hear we might have 5 minutes of sun today, can't wait. It's been overcast and drizzly on and off for weeks!

We are getting closer to our closing on our new house- probably for the first week in June. Then there will be a few weeks of prep- this house needs EVERYTHING redone, and we won't fully move in til late June. Yesterday I ordered flooring for a bathroom. And I've been collecting paint chips like a crazy woman. I have quite a pile! I have been packing up some boxes of stuff we don't use much- I'm getting excited, but worried since there is so much painting and prep to do before we get in, and of course, DH thinks we can do it ourselves. Ha. We'll see.

Making a steak tonight with a big salad. Maybe we'll rent a movie. That's all the excitement here- hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Hi ladies and gent!

Slept in til 930 this morning have not done that in I can't remeber when, DD slept til 10, DS was up at 8 but he turned on the TV and watched Power Rangers and left us alone. Then we had a HUGE breakfast - no bread for me. We have cleared all the pool patio furniture off and are getting ready to pressure wash - hopefully it won't rain on us as it did on you Linda!!!

Nothing planned today - more of the pool scene if it stays nice. Have to watch the NASCAR race tonite!

Had friends over for steaks last night it was fun, but our friends wife is a bit of a weird bird...oh well it takes all kinds. :dizzy:

Have a great, safe, happy day!!

HAPPY SUNDAY ALL

Thought I I would get drier, warmer weather by coming south (Boston to the Jersey Shore) for a few weeks....

NOT!

At least I can't complain about it being too hot to do the walking I need to do.

I posted regularly at 3FC eons ago it seems - but not on low carb - mostly on general and WW. But now I am an Atkid (starting my second induction week today) and looking forward to giving and getting support here.

Just a quickie today !

Trying to catch up on some posts and my chickie buds!

Things here are same ol'. Crazy as usual, stressful as usual. I've even found myself when shopping seeing little things that remind me of my friends here. (Hey Peach - found the cutest flying pig figurine here! Now for the chicken hat! hehehe)

Wishing we had a summer chick meet planned sometime in July - I'm sure game! Dawn and I slightly talked about NY or DC for the summer trip. But game for anything interesting! hint-hint!

Mostly OP and dropping slowly. My plan is to go back to the gym starting Tuesday. Even if it's just walking - it's more than what I'm doing now!

Hugs and love to all my buds and big welcomes to all the lurkers and new chickadee friends!

J

PS-puter is driving me nuts but still attempting to post and working on dh for a newer model!
