Question Whats up with the new Dr. A book?

Hello everyone!! I've not been here for a LONG TIME. It's not that I haven't been reading the posts from time to time but I've been schooling the boys and eating!!! Yep, you read it right.

I was in Wal-Mart the other day and noticed that Dr.A has a new book out. I didn't have time to read it when shopping for undies for the five boys so I am asking you ladies if any of you know what's up with the new book.

I am seriously thinking about getting myself in gear again and getting back into the low carb scene.

Did anyone buy the new book? Is the plan different? What are the recipes like that are in the new book?

O.K. that's enought questions from me for now. I feel like an investigative reporter.

Thanks

ChrissyB

I bought the new book. I haven't really had time to read it. I bought it thinking it had the induction plan in it, and it doesn't. Since I have just started this (1/2 way thru 2nd week of Induction now) I needed that plan. So, I haven't read the new one yet.

Here are the titles of Part 1 and Part 2 though:

1. A LifeTime Plan
2. Eating for Life (which has 30 meal plans at 45 g; 30 at 60 g; 30 at 80 g; and 30 at 100 g) and then special occasion meals

There are also 125 recipes in the back (pale blue section)

It looks really good, and the recipes look yummy, but like I said it was the other book I needed, so I've shelved it for now.

HI Chrissy!! I have the new one Atkins for Life. IT has lots of menu plans and recipes. It is more of a plan you can do long term, kind of maintenance type plan. My parents have been doing it and did not start with the strict plan and both lost weight....

Thank you for all of the "welcomes" Good to see some of the oldies but goodies....and some new names on the board.

I bet I'll have to go and buy this book just to solve my own curiosity.

JudoMom...are you sure that the new book doesn't have an induction phase in it? I would have swore I seen one as I did a quick page through. Now mind I was in the midst of shopping with the boys so I might have been having a brain fart....

I'll be back a little later to see if any of the other chicks can shed some light on the one. For now off I go...

Blessings,
ChrissyB

Yup...my wife just bought me Atkins for Life. Pretty good so far...I'm flipping through it before I hit the end of my weight loss so I'll be able to go into maintenance. Since I was using a borrowed copy of New Diet Revolution I also decided to pick up Dr. Atkins' Three Book Package which includes New Diet Revolution, New Diet Cookbook and New Carbohydrate Gram Counter.

Since I decided to go back into induction to help speed up the loss, I figured I'd reread the books and start using the meal plans.
