Default Atkins Question

Hi Everyone!
I have a question about Atkins--what is everyone's thoughts about luncheon meats. Are they OK to eat on Atkins, Induction.
I'm specifically wanting to eat Turkey lunchmeat, and Hard Salami? It is sometimes easier to eat luncheon meat as opposed to the actual turkey/chicken meat. Does eating this hurt weight loss on Atkins?
Thanks for the help!

Hi Ally and Welcome!!

If I remember correctly, we are not suppose to eat luncheon meats that are proccessed due to the nitrates and other bad stuff in them. However....I havent had any problems eating them, and they do not stall my weight loss. Many times, I'll grab some lower fat salami and have that for a mid afternoon snack.

Just remember that the higher the salt, the more you'll retain. Choose the lower fat salami, I find the higher fat slow down my weight loss.

Good Luck to you
