How many of you cannot use diet sodas

I was wondering how many of you have totally excluded sodas from your list and if so , was it because they stalled weightloss? I think they keep my craving for sweets alive . Or is that my imagination? For those of you that do include them have you noticed a stall in losses and just settled for the slower weight loss so you can have them? Or do they really have no effect in the long run. Dying to know !

I have found that I have to severely limit my intake of diet sodas, like one every other day or even longer. I am so sugar sensitive that one tiny little taste of something sweet and I'm eating the whole cupboard!

I had a diet pepsi a week ago today.......it was my first one in 4 months!!

Im like pooky, extremely sugar sensitive. The fake sugars will set me off just as easliy as the real stuff.

I'm also sensative... Sigh

I'm not sure about Diet Soda, but Lo Carb bars stall me out. I don't drink diet soda that often because of the Aspartame that the Atkins program says can stall you. So, I have them as a treat. Went out to a restaurant the other night and had my first in about 2 weeks, and boy was it good! I should have saved it for dessert time!

I think everyone is very different in how these things affect them. You should experiment and see how it affects you. Cut them out for a week, and see how you do and then add them back slowly and see how your body reacts.

I guess I'm lucky in that I seldom think of having a soda, diet or otherwise. They simply are not appealing to me, especially the way the bubbles go up my nose and cause me to belch. I do keep some in the spare fridge in the garage for guests and I'll share one with a friend sometimes, but not often enough to cause any problems that I can recall.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to cut it out this week ans see what happens to my weight loss. I lost 3/4 of a pound last week!:( Oh well at least I didn't gain!

i don't drink them, but that's because i had the weight loss surgery and we're not allowed to. i don't miss them. but if i had to give up crystal light or SF lemonade mixes.. not sure i could do that!!!!!

wishing.. let us know how you did without the soda.
I've been trying to cut back. I used to drink 4-6 regular dr. pepper's daily. I am about 1 diet soda a day - some days I will skip one. I love diet cherry pepsi!

Jiffy - I agree with you on the crystal light stuff - loving that! I wish they weren't so pricey. Maybe I might try some of the off brands - have you had any luck with them?

hey there dana... nice to see you posting here! yep!!! i've been using Wyler's SF lemonade and raspberry drink powders. they're good!!! and they have extra vitamin C which is important for me since i can't have juice.

haven't tried the store brands of crystal light, but you KNOW i'm THERE whenever there's a sale!
