I got lots of tidying and some wrapping done yesterday so don't feel I've been wasting my time. I think this operation stuff dragged me down more than I knew because I've had too darn many "nothing" days lately - with naps!
I sort of run out of steam before the engine gets going. I have not been religiously taking my vitamin supplements which may be part of the problem.Gail comes this morning to do the pre-Christmas cleaning. This afternoon friends Claire and Doug are coming to assemble (and maybe decorate) our Christmas tree. They will stay for dinner - a complete oven meal that I have ready to pop into the stove. I love it! I was going to give them Shepherd's Pie but the "fridge mice" snacked on the leftover beef so there was just enough for a two person meal. So tonight - marinated pork chops, baked potatoes, green beans with red and yellow peppers, apple/cranberry crisp with ice cream. I'll end up eating just items one and three because my darn blood sugar is still running high. Anyhow this will officially start the holiday celebrations. I may even break out my new Christmas placemats.

We had an 18-wheeler wandering the village last week. The guy was from Mississippi and was on his way to Delta - only it was Delta, British Columbia. He was just off by 3000 miles. Poor lad! I ran the trip through Expedia - he'd have to drive non-stop for about 4 days, providing he could get through the Rockies and not pee or eat or sleep. There's lots of giggling about this at the Get A Life Cafe here in town.

Gotta boot the body and get cracking. I may do some baking this morning unless Gail wants to start in the kitchen first.
Happy Monday!

) Laundry, kitchen, living room and it's dang blasted cold so the woodstove has to get good and pumped today. Little things left for Christmas left to be done and some Christmas cards to go out (local so they won't have to go far) and well, this week is beyond busy. Tomorrow is the drop-in center's Christmas Party and I have to get a cheese ball and crackers ready for it. So I may not get in here till later in the day. Other than that, but one step on the week of crazy--the week before Christmas I swear is the busiest of all!

He never changed a single diaper and I think he might have babysat once or twice when I had an outing with girlfriends and that's about it. Certainly no shining example of shared workload. Mind you, I wouldn't want to share HIS workload.
I chose SB over other eating plans/diets after reading 11 different books from the library, from Atkins to Suzanne Sommers, and others. I chose SB over everything else because it looked like a plan I could live with indefinitely & it didn't cut out any certain food group (contrary to belief, sugar is NOT a food).
