~~How often do you weigh in??~~

I was just wondering how often everyone weighs in?

I no longer own a scale. I have been low carbing since end of September and haven't weighed myself yet. I don't plan on weighing in until January 1st. I work at hospital and there is a very reliable scale there. Or my sister works at "Curves" and I can do it there.

I know I have lost weight. My belt buckle goes in 2 notches and some of the clothes are getting very roomy.

I don't want to live and die by the numbers on the scale, so I have choosen to do it this way. I think in January I may start to weigh myself in weekly/bi-weekly increments.

For me when I first started it was every day and then I got some great advice to let it ride for a week or two. I can safely say I am no longer a slave to my scale--I weigh in every two weeks or so.

Every Monday, and if its that TOM, I'll wait the extra week to save being dissappointed.

I use to weigh myself everytime I stepped into the bathroom. I'm not kidding :D

Now I weigh myself about once every two weeks. But I think I'll even stretch that out and see how long I can go :D Dont know the temptation might kill me!!!

I try to weigh once a week unless I cheated really bad (like last weekend). Then I'll try to be good and put off the weigh in for a week. But definetly every two weeks and no less. It helps to keep me honest.

Once a week. I have no problem ignoring the scale which is right in front of me when I enter the bathroom (which is a thousand times a day)

I weigh myself every morning. I find that if I weigh myself once a week I end up gaining. I'll say "Oh, go ahead and have that cookie, weigh-in isn't for 4 days, you can lose it by then." then the next day I justify something else, etc. If I know I'll be facing the scale 12 hours later, I'm not as tempted to snack my way thru the evening, which is my problem time.

I just don't let it ruin my whole day when I gain a 1/2 lb like this morning. I can also track which foods trigger water retention. For example, I can drink all the caffine I want with no problem, but too much cheese and I swell up like a hot air balloon. Knowing that I ate some cheese ball yesterday, I realize where the extra 1/2 lb came from, so I'm less likely to stress over it.

I weigh myself once per week. Usually on Monday or Tuesday :)

I usually weigh on Fridays. If it is bad, I weigh again on Saturday to see if water was the problem. (I am pretty drastic with water weight one way or the other) I used to have an addiction to the scale and even weighed in the middle of the night when I got up to pee!

wow, I am impressed that you haven't wanted to jump on the scale. I am one of those honery people that likes to peek and see what present I am getting:o so I when I am doing good on my plan I love to jump on the scale. I go to TOPS (take of pounds sensibly) and have to weigh in once a week. I would rather only weigh once every two weeks or so just so I could see a bigger difference. Now, when I am not doing good on my food plan i really HATE to jump on that scale:dizzy:

I think it is more accurate though, to measure ourselves instead especially if we start lifting weights, etc. I used to weigh myself every day but got a little psycho about it and when it was up I would feel really down. It was ruling my life. Not a good thing. I think I have a better relationship with the scale now and know that the number doesn't make that much of a difference because I can lose and gain water at the drop of a hat. As long as it keeps going down at the end of each month or two months, I just want it to goooo down.:goodvibes:

June, I just broke down and measured myself about a month ago. I hope that will show me better numbers when the scale is acting crabby! I had the card with my measurements tucked away and Rob accidentally found it, and he is saying Hey, what is this waist hip thigh stuff? Wow, I ran about 90 miles an hour and whisked it away from him. The numbers looked so BAD!
