Good Morning everyone!

Peach and Sherrie, you're stars! I won't give up now, I am hoping that I run into one--why do I think that I may have to go on a run to the city??? Peach, if you find one that would be way too awesome!

Up early this moring because I have a lot of work to do today. I am cleaning out Miree's toy area dn we are moving things around. I also have to clean the carpets (puppy messes! ) and then rearrange some furniture. It's a lot of work--the last time I sorted Miree's toys it took me 3 hours! Dh is off to fix a guy's computer today and Miree, well she's being Miree!

Linda and Ruth, you guys have a wonderful visit!

Deb, I think it's legal, provided they have the adequate breaks in there. I agree, too much work for anyone, never mind a 16 year old. However, when I was 16 I worked many shifts like that basically because they needed me and it was extra money.

Sue, I wonder the same thing--why can't house work do itself?

 to anyone I missed and hope you all have a great day! :)

Good morning all. Just reading and trying to figure out who's who here!!

Got the cut and high lights and turned out well. Otherwise had a pretty quiet day yesterday.

I don't know who was asking about the cloth book, but sometimes regular book stores carry them, as do toy stores. I think you live in Bracebridge right? Do you have a "Creative Learning"? My son got one called the Rainbow Zebra. About being different, but liking it.

We have a little bit of snow here today. Makes it more festive for the Santa Claus parade.

Have a good one.

Sue

Deb,
They may split her hours if the alternative is not working at all. I too wouldn't want my kid working that many hours. I do agree with the break thing, but you could call the boss too and expain either they change the work schedual or she will not be able to be there, but also a job is a job. (I really should make up my mind how I feel about this...lol)

I am off the temple to work at the holiday fair. Don't get too excited, It isn't that great. My SIL likes me to be there to keep an eye on the kids so stuff doesn't get five finger discounted. I also have to buy older boy's project.

DH took the kids and older boy's friend to the meseum of science for the traveling Egyption exibit. Then he is dropping all three at a friends for a yu-gi-oh card tourny.

So I am off on this bitter cold day in New engalnd.
Oh!!! I got my new laptop on fridasy and I am up and running!

Meowna, I answerd you on the other thread.
Ruth and Linda have a great time.!
Be well,
-L

Sunday check-in!

I am so off plan it is funny.

This week coming up I will be in Florida until the following Tuesday. Can't wait to just be alone and relax. I have big plans to do some clothes shopping and Christmas shopping. It would be nice to get some Christmas stuff out of the way- if I think of SMALL gifts!

Yesterday was the bar mitzvah of my best friend's middle boy. He is my Godchild (a Lutheran Godmother, many jokes about that!) It was a wonderful day, but we had terrible weather all day rainy, windy and cold and they were having 120 people in TENTS IN THE BACK YARD!

Huge connecting tents with plastic sides and heaters and lighting and all, but nevertheless, it was pretty muddy some places and cold underfoot. But there was a real dancefloor, a dj, a video-making area for the kids, and a fortune teller! The kids( about 40) had a great time! For the adults, all vegetarian, but beautifully catered food. It was just bread, bread, bread for me, but delicious and gorgeous. A veggie sushi table, a pasta and mini pizza station, a huge table of cheeses and hummous and spreads for pita and other breads, some crudite also, but then passed h'ordourves(sp?) of crostini with fresh chopped tomato, some with sauteed wild mushrooms, some with melted cheese and sundried tomato. TOO GOOD!

It was fun, but I felt awful from the carbs, got home very late(for me, midnight is VERY LATE!!) and fell into bed. So today is just very lite eating- eggs and some chicken and vegetables. WATER. A little house cleanup and pack to go away tomorrow. can't wait!

I can't check in from there, so I'll be back in a week and a half-

hope LindaBC and Ruth are yakking away! Wish I could have a little of that cheesecake...

be good, chikkies

Hey Dottie, have a nice trip! Oh my gosh, Florida weather........
Whew, think of me and how bad I'd like to be there! I have to go back to work tomorrow. I cried about that last night. I just don't want to go back to the corporate world. Yuck.

Greetings from Beautiful British Columbia!

This is Ruth disguised as LindaBC in a red suede shirt with shortened sleeves.

Linda and I had a LC and expensive breakfast of bacon and eggs at the Airport, toured the lovely Fraser Valley, visited her friend Lorraine and then had tea and a piece of a fabulous guiltless cheesecake! (The cheesecake is soooo good that I felt very guilty enjpying it but it IS low carb - promise!)

Right now Linda is peeling a potato or two for Peter the Hunk and we are going to have a lovely roast pork dinner in a while.

By the way .... she sure did vacuum and the craft and sewing stuff is NOT on the bed.

Love and hugs around the Coop.

This is LindaBC posting as LindaBC. I just poured Ruth into bed...she and Peter shared two bottles of wine this evening and we all had a lovely yack. Those of you who have met Ruth know how delightfully funny and entertaining she is so you'll know why my face is hurting from all the unaccustomed smiling and laughing. I think Peter is in love. It's sure not like him to leave the tv off all evening so he can visit.
She has to leave tomorrow and I sure wish I could keep her. I hope it won't be so long until we meet again.
