Ok, coffee in hand and ready to rumble. I just have to say you guys are all crackin' me up! I don't know any good ones right now but then again it might be my non functioning brain!

Off to drop in this morning and then home to do more housework. I have to say my househasn't looked better with dh gone. Hmmmm--think that might be the problem? :lol:

Sherrie, so sorry to hear about the hospital run! Hope everything is OK.

Jiff, don't give up yet hon, there might be hope in the distance where you can find a SANE company to work for!

Peach, tell your dh to go jump in the lake. My dh said that to me once and I asked him who else would be willing to wash his underwear? :lol:

Jenny, Miree is going to be a little witch this year. The local dollar shop had children's sized witch hats with hair attached so I got one of those and I black cape. I know it's a really dark costume so I have some reflective arm bands for her to wear so I can always see her.

Janice, you just sneak in here any ole time you can! :) tee-hee...

To get to start this thread:dizzy: My mom called about midnight last night saying they were taking my Dad back to the ER. I just talked to her again and they admitted him again. He was home one whole night. I hope for my Mom's sake when he dies, he is in the hospital. I don't think she could handle it if he died at home. Morbid way to start out the morning huh!!!

We are just about ready to throw up our hands and sent the computer software back. It would be a wonderful program if it worked!!! For some reason it is very unstable. We can't get it to do the same thing twice. VERY frustrating:shrug:

Other than that things are going good. I 've managed to stay completely OP during the day, but have slacked at night for dinner. At least I haven't gained anything. I just kinda feel bloated:stress: :stress: can't imagine why.

Even though I usually only talk about me, I think about all of you and keep you in my thoughts and prayers daily.

Oh yeah before I forget it: PEACHIE!!! Friday is anothe CRAFT day on QVC. They may have something you can't live without!!!:sssh: :chin:

Barb, I am so sorry your Dad is back in hospital. However, it probably is best for your Mum. Now don't be too hard on yourself over being OP - you need to nurture YOU too.

Pooky, I dug out my Hallowe'en stuff yesterday but have not put it up yet. We are not decorated for Thanksgiving either. Wanna come here and help? You seem on a real energy blitz!

Well, not a good start to the day today. :(
- Lucy found a dead something in the yard this morning and brought it up onto the deck. :yikes: I have no idea what it was but it sure was dead! She has crypt breath now - I wish I could Listerine her mouth!
- the furnace would not turn on - looks like we are out of oil! Our dealer "forgot" the fall fillup :mad:
- the nice hot bath I ran to warm myself was ice cold. I forgot we have an oil fired water heater!

Enough crabbing! On a scale of one to ten in crap this was just a two. It's a glorious cold and sunny fall day and I am going to take Lucy for a training walk right now. :)

After that I have huge bunches of basil to chop and freeze in oil for winter pesto! I am leaving noonish to get my stitches out :cp:and will do a major shop in town while I'm there so I need to get my list started. A Wardens' meeting tonight will be the perfect end to the day - yes, I am being a bit sarcastic. I hate 7:15 evening meetings because we are usually just starting dinner then!

have you ladies been following the shooting in maryland? can i just tell you this is all very close by and i'm totally stressing???! my face is all broken out (havent in months) and i just can not get the scale to budge because i keep eating comfort food!!!!!!!

Ruth I hope your hand is as good as new after you get the stitches out.

Barb, I'm so sorry your Dad fell ill enough to be put back in the hospital. When my Grandfather passed away, my Grandma said she was glad he didn't pass away at home, he had been taken into the hospital a few days before. So maybe for your Mom's sake it is a good thing.

PJ, I may be in the Atlanta area, but my roots run deep in the DC area, especially the VA side. As a matter of fact, I was born and raised in the area of the most recent shooting, Manassas. Before I married I had an apartment within shouting distance of the gas station where the shooting yesterday took place. I wish they would find this nut!!!

PJ, try to relax, although I know it has to be hard! I'll be thinking about you until this is over. I have cousins in the Rockville-Baltimore area, and many 'co-workers' from my company in Rockville. It is very scary for me and I can imagine how hard it must be for you. The scariest part for me is that he might drive somewhere new, making him that much harder to find. Good luck, I'll be thinking of you until they catch him!

Debkay, this all must seem very strange for you! Rob read on the news about a year ago of an explosion in his old town in Holland. He looked on an online Dutch news site and it was a picture of his old apartment building! Very strange for him. I hope the jacuzzi is making this a good day for you!

Ok, off to the shower, etc. I have 37 minutes to get ready. Eeek!

I finally got to the flylady site yesterday. I thought you were taking about actually flying, when you meant CLEANING???? Bunch of sickos. LOL Actually it did help motivate me to start keeping house to DH standards. My sink is clean! Still not wearing shoes though, but I'm at work so I'm not counting that!

Going back to work now, or to take a nap under my desk, not sure which.

Mama J, I read your post on the other thread and I am so glad you are going through with it. Take it easy after and I have to tell you after my surgery I used Tylonol PM to sleep at nigt...ad they DO mean it takes a whole year for everything to heal.

Other than that, Ruth I hope your hnd feels great today, but do take it easy carrying things.
