Sunday morning

squeezing in a quick hi from the beautiful state of Maine- I am visiting my friend here and we are so lucky that the sun is shining, and we are headed off for a long walk on the beach. I'll be back home Tuesday, but I wanted to check in and say HI!

Went to a great crafts fair yesterday, very high quality artsy stuff- but pricey- ended up with some "gourmet" dried blueberries for bread making and some nut mix with cranberries for DH. There is a whole bunch of people doing cottage businesses here, making food products, jam, salsas, soaps, and stuff like that and they seem to do very well. Maybe I'll run away and come up here to make cookies and walk on the beach...

have a great one,
dottie

I'm happy!!!

I've been feelin rather low because no matter what the scales were saying I didn't feel like I was loosing. Then I read about others buying new clothes in small sizes when I can't fit my fat A$$ in the one's in my closet. Then yesterday Alvin cleaned out this closet and I have a pile a mile high of things he's undergrown.

BUT... today I drug out w few things I've NEVER worn because the were "Just a little" too tight when I bought them/got them for a gift,,etc. Well They fit!!! :smoking: :cp:  :flame: :: :dancer: :cb: :joker: Can you tell I'm excited?

barb, that's fabulous news!!! but after all, you've lost about 40 pounds, and that's good for a couple of sizes!!!

and sherrie.... ick!!!! do you need the metal bra??? a baseball bat?

and thanks for the wisdom, sue, and the cheers jennifer. i KNOW, at least in my heart, that the weight loss will slow down. and there's really nothing i can do about it except stay on the straight and narrow. i'm hitting 70-75 grams of protein, but not the 80 or so i'm supposed to get. and i'm not really hungry, so i can easily go until 3 or 4 pm on a protein shake and about 10 extra grams of protein. that's a total of about 35 grams, and if i wait too long to start eating, then i NEVER catch up... snacking on soybeans helps, though.

and i started my day with a peach and brie!!! it was yummy!!!!

as for the question about going off program at restaurants, jennifer. an interesting one. you know that really good crusty bread some restaurants serve? once a week, i have some. i tear out all the fluffy white stuff and leave the crust. and put all the butter i want on it... sometimes i use as much as a half a pat!!!! [sad, isn't it???]

and then i eat whatever i want, knowing that it'll just be very little and i'll be eating it for at least another 2 meals. maybe this wls is just another way to stretch one's food budget????

but those tortilla chips always call my name, and they're so good. especially when they're warm. and lightly salted. what a dangerous combination!!!

haven't talked with peachie about the craft fair. she's been coming up with IDEAS!!! and promising that she's not planning to actually DO anything. i'm telling you, it's only a matter of time. about a week. maybe less!!!

need a shower. and exfoliation. and bed. wish life were more interesting.

hope ya'll are doing well.. and so glad to see you scooby... have a safe trip!!!

and linda, it's great to see you posting as well.

debyj.. here's a box of tissues, some vitamin C, and zinc.. and a big pot of hot tea. rest up!!

Jiff, ohhhhhhh, the crusty bread! When I was a teenager, I went to Europe with my parents for a month. We got a 'continental breakfast' every morning, and on the continent of Europe, that means hard chewy crusty rolls, butter and jelly! Oh my how I loved those rolls. There must have been one hotel baker somewhere that mailed the stuff all over the place, because they all had the big soft ones, the baseball sized chewy ones, and the croissants. Oh dear. That was good! When we ever have enough money to go to Holland to see Rob's family, I want to stay in a hotel and order a continental breakfast!

Exfoliation sounds about as good...what do you use?

Barb, GOOD for you! I will be tickled pink to get into my tight clothes!

Sherrie, sorry the ex is being a weenie. Mine is a weenie too! He hasn't seen Cody in a year. Called him to say happy b-day, missed it by a day.

Dottie! I didn't know you went away, I hope you are having a great time.

My eating plan is doing soooooooo good! NO restaurants and no temptation. Ok, a little temptation, but not enough to give into, especially Rob, who remembers everytime to the minute that I brag about doing good...Mr Guilt Trip!
