Linda - I got the Cuisinart ICE-20 ... it was on sale ;)!! No ice and no salt...... leave the cannister in the freezer, then when you want to use it, it's ready! Mix ingredients, put in the canister, press the "on" button, and in 20 minutes.... ICE CREAM!! However, I am going to check out some other machines, I think this one might be not working right.... the ice cream builds up too much on the sides and bottom......... (up to a total of maybe 2 cups) and the only way to get it out is to put the cannister in a bowl of hot water!!! that's just plain dumb! I'm gonna look at some others tomorrow to see if the paddles scrape the sides down better.. if they do, I'l exchange!

The fair is a great idea, and Ruth shouldn't freak out, remember -- next year she will be OFF the committee!!! :lol:

Goodforme.... great news about your numbers!!! Mine went in the same direction, isn't it terrific when you can show a "knowitall" (esp when it is your doctor!!) that he doesn't know it all!!! - I was very lucky -- my doc told me to do atkins!!
