We met a man at the doctors office that is going to have surgery a second time. Alvin asked him why and he said because he lost the weigh so fast and felt so much better that he quit paying attention to what the doctor said and started doing things his own way, and stretched his stomach and gained weight back.

That got his attention the guy got Alvin's email address and said he will email him and they can support each other over the net. He also told Alvin it is important to go to the support group meetings. He said he went at first and then got pissed off because of something at one of the meetings, so he didn't go back, and that was a mistake. All of this made quite an impression on Alvin.

that's good news!!!! up to 15% of people regain more or all of their weight back. and it's because the don't pay attention.

all i've ever wanted to do was to follow some set of rules that worked for me. and these rules work for me.

and i sincerely hope you and alvin both find the rules that work for you.

it's very sad that the other man is having the surgery again because he didn't listen, but he's probably also learned a valuable lesson....
