The Weekend - March 9th and 10th
 

Good morning, Chickies.

It's a soft morning here for a change - if the rain holds off, I'll be able to do some lawn cleanup this afternoon. We are going back to cold weather tomorrow :( so I probably should smooth out the mud ruts in the lane so they will freeze level. I would love a paved lane but the well is under there somewhere. Let's hope we never have to find out exactly where. We do have a map - drawn in pencil on a piece of cigarette pack cardboard. :shrug:

Hershey and I are off to a Wardens' meeting this morning - that's like a Church Council. She doesn't have a vote but cleans up muffin crumbs and lends a note of relaxation to these deals which can sometimes get a bit tense. There are three congregations in this Parish and their Wardens are not always on the same wavelength.

There is a big pot of legal veggie soup on the stove - I did a fridge clean-up this a.m. and figured but Hershey and I could use a "free" soup as a filler for times when the munchies hit.

Warm and sunny here at the moment I even have the windows open, but rain is coming and back to colder here tommorrow too. I am ready for spring. My crocuses and dafodils are blooming. I love spring.

DH is making breakfast. THen he has to go move some stuff for a friend. I have a work party this afternoon DH is staying home with the kids. NOt much to do around here the babysitter cleaned and did all the laundry, gotta love that.

I'm out to garage sales this morning, but wanted to stop by quickly and say "good morning"!

Staying op, not drinking enough water, not exercizing, and NOT taking my glucosamine, :nono: so my knees are killing me.:nono:

Other than that, we are swimming today and then getting ready for tomorrow! I hope you are all having a great day and enjoy your weekend!

Hello all! -30 overnight here! I love spring too, can't wait until it gets here.....well having a pedicure and manicure today and then cut and color tomorrow so that should be a nice pick me up! Have a great day all! Liz

Errand day here, had to get dd new shoes. . . AGAIN! She takes her feet after her mom, I'm afraid. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't have huge feet, per se, but it's a pain fighting a cross dresser over that last pair of FABULOUS pumps:lol: Now dd is in a 13 and 1/2!:eek: She's only 4, remember.

Nothing much new here this weekend, have to celebrate yet another friend's birthday, this time at a local club. This 4 in the morning stuff is getting harder and harder the older I get. She's just 21 today, poor child, but I will try to have a good time even though I feel I'm in the nursery when I hang out with them!

Put yet another load in the washer and set out to get the car cleaned inside and out. God, I swear some rats were living int he car--paper and bits of things everywhere! Now it even smells nice and clean! :)

Good, I'm laughing my @$$ off thinking about you fighting off a drag queen for the nicest pumps! ROFL :lol:

Scooby, I had a miracle too--I spotted a bulb peaking up through the ground! I had cleaned out that bed in the fall and I guess I missed a bulb--gee wahat a nice present even though we are still covered in snow for the most part!

A robin!
 

I've bee hearing a robin for the last few days and DH spotted it today. I bet it's freezing it's tail off cause hw are having terrible winds along with freezing rain and snow! DD and family went to Chicago yesterday. I hope they took along warm clothing as the temperature is falling fast.
We went shopping for a bit and now DH is cutting wood for our outside furnace. I don't know if we're going to church tomorrow. it depends on if we can get out of the driveway. Our driveway slopes up to the road and it's like a skating ring right now.
I talked with DS last night and he sounded well. The children are fine. He certainly has changed his tone since DH made it clear there would be no more nonsense.
I'm hiding from a woman from church who is on a committee with me The old dear is slightly senile and can't get it through her head that I'm disabled and can't go evangeling through the countryside with her. I'll be so happy when that committee is over with! No more Boards for this lady! Oy vey!

Oh what a wonderful day!!! The sun stayed out for the majority of the day and it felt wonderful!! The wind and rain began around dinner time here and I was just fine with that .. however, they are calling for snow tonight .. lets hope they are wrong.

Well I was able to relax a bit more today .. that was nice. Now its the evening and I have two hyper young ladies in the house and a 10 year old boy on his way over for the evening .. they should all get along pretty well. The girls are primping and preparing for his arrival .. false finger nails and all :lol: I don't remember being this interested in boys when I was that young .. maybe its one of those memories I have been trying to block :) My home is the house of Ritalin .. they all have ADHD .. I think I should be looking for something that will allow me to keep up with them :D

All of my natural children (6 cats & 2 dogs) are doing well. I am worried about my little hymalaian as she seems to be coming down with the sniffles .. she will have to bunk alone for the next few days just incase she has a upper respitory infection.

Well guess I should prepare for the coming of the lad .. chow for now and have a wonderful weekend guys.

Well, here I have dragged my carcass in after yet another night of drinking and debauchery. YEAH RIGHT!! At any rate, we did sing a little karoake, no laughing allowed! I had fun but now am ready for my nap, so I will talk to you all at a more decent hour.

Sheesh, Sherrie! Didja have to keep up that singing when you came in - you woke me up.

Actually my aches and pains woke me up. I was outside last night to rescue the pup and tripped and fell. Have a mighty sore right arm which still functions but can't be raised. Hmmm. I may be having an X-ray today. Naturally I fell in the muddy part of the lane! You should see my white t-shirt - and it was my best one!

Have had a coffee, a codeine and am going to pop back into bed for a while. No Church today for me, I'm afraid.

Happy Sunday to all!! After a lovely 70 degree day yesterday it is 31 degrees outside this morning! No wonder everyone is sick!

Goomba, you are a very special person.:angel: My heart breaks for these children who for many different reasons are pretty much alone.

Not much planned for today, going to early church with DS who loves Sunday school! Gonna clean out some closets in preparation for a for sale sign going up on my house!:jig:

DH is going to paint the bathroom or suffer the consequences and Iam sure he will be parked in front of the NASCAR race this afternoon.

Morning All!

No church for us this morning. Dh has to work (argh) and dd#2 is too small & busy for me to handle alone during mass.

My mom and my auntie have confirmed a visit for today. Quite a banner day if they actually show up. Sorry for the cynicism, but my aunt makes lots of plans to come and then usually has an excuse (she doesn't really care for dh).

Seems I have fallen in to the resale business. Not quite sure how my hobby has turned in to a job, but it did. Guess I'll count my blessings and pray I don't loose my butt on my newest little venture.

I hope you all have a great Sunday. It's too cold this morning for anything fun, but maybe this afternoon it'll warm up!

Pretty wild and windy here today! Dodging garbage can lids and other flying objects.

Dh and the big kid are down at Atlantic City watching the State Wrestling Championships, the little guy is at charm school (social skills) and I have the house all to myself. Listening to Kidz Bop that Auntie Jiff got the little guy for his birthday.

Had a very nice party for the little guy last night with Jiff and Mom and a couple of friends and their kidlets...such nice kids, such nice moms. Slept until almost 7:30 this morning...pretty darn late for me!

Need to tighten up my program for the next few days, the sloppies have moved in and I need to move them right on out the door, into the flying garbage can, shut the lid tight and take out the trash.
