Step Into Spring Challenge Weigh-In!

So we've been doing the challenge for a couple of weeks now and it's time to go and step on those scales sometime this week. Alwasy good to give yourself a little boost and pick me up when you see some numbers go down! If you dind't see any loss these last few weeks, time to reevaluate your eating--are you getting hidden carbs? drinking enough water? bingeing? not enough exercise? Time to fess up and be honest chicks!

As for me, welll, the exercise regimen is going well but I'm afriad my eating habits aren't going so well. My stomach is all messed up due to the glucophage and I am not strictly OP. I promise to do better this week and to keep drinking the amount of water I have been (LOTS! :) )

Last weigh in: 214
This week: 214 (maintained, but I'm sure it would have been a loss had I followed OP! :dizzy: )

Feb 15 - 208
Feb 22
Mar 1 - 212 - How the heck did that happen! (same on Mar 4)
Mar 8 - 210 or 95.2K which looks better!
Mar 15
Mar 22
Mar 31 - Maybe 206?

Gotta get this thing moving this week! Water or lack of it is my downfall.

Goomba 03-04-2002 10:31 AM

Is it too late to join?

It was hard to write this! I have really been fighting with myself over this- I don't think I can live with myself if I start off good and end up nowhere again! But I think I have to challenge myself to work harder and stay more focused- weight loss hasn't been primary lately, and i think i have to get it moved up to priority status again!

My goal for this week is to write down my carbs and COUNT THEM ALL! I have been using a little food tracker for the past 2 weeks, and that's good, but this week I want to really count every carb and get myself back to being more accountable.

who's next?

dottie

Pooky, should I just write it here? I'll just edit and write in my carb counts each day, is that OK? I am trying for VERY LOW for a few days at least!

Dottie, you just go right on ahead and do what you need to do to make yourself a success! This is what this challenge is all about--whatever works for you! :)

Ok, pooky, we meet again. I'm going to try this like you said. A friend of mine and I are going for a main goal of 50 pounds. But we're going to do it in 10 pound increments. 10 pounds by April 5th. She's working on exercising more and drinking more water. I'm going to work with her on those (a gallon a day and at least 30 minutes of cardio for her on top of my hours of cardio already) and I'm going to work on eating low carbos. I just bought the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet. Today is the first day of the rest of my life :) good luck to everyone else. When does the challenge end?

Can I Join?

My sister and I started the Atkins diet the day after Christmas -- I lost 9 lbs. the first couple of weeks during induction and haven't done anything since then. She's lost all the weight she wants to (and has a new love interest) so she isn't much support to me right now. So ... can I join in your group?!?!

I will not weigh this week since I just got started, but I hope to do well on Monday. I know I need to up my water, I really suck with water!

Well Pooky, I am still in!

None of the other challenges have worked for me, but this one combined with lent may just work. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Feb 15 - 212.5
Feb 22 - 211.0
Mar 1 - 211.0 (still)
Mar 8 - 208 :)
Mar 15 - 205.5!
Mar 22
Mar 31

In addition to trying to maintian a healthy lc lifestyle, I am also giving up coffee for lent

Welcome Hollygirl!

I'm still in. Doing great with food and water but not exercising. I'll get back to it!

2/18/02 - 150.5 lbs
3/4/02 - 150 lbs

My body seems to like 150 lbs for some reason. I've been increasing my calories to hopefully start things moving downward. With my history of bingeing/purging/starving, my poor body is just waiting for the cycle to start again. Have to let it know it's going to be fed right from now on.

Hi! :)

I just wanted to check in with everyone. Ya'll are doing great! Goomba, you are my hero!

It's been a difficult couple of weeks on many fronts, and I'm only at 227 as of this morning. I've been slipping just enough here and there to keep anything more dramatic from hapening. Although I must say, I went through my warmer-weather clothes yesterday, and it felt good to be able to squeeze into pants I'd nearly given up on. They should fit very well by summer--very motivational

My goal is 220 by the time the bunny shows up, so I have to get on the good foot. This week I will really stick with CAD to the letter, and do something everyday--weights, walking, aerobics or yoga--no matter what!

Have a great week! jaelynn

Hopping in late

I'm starting from square one again... fortunately I only gained a few pounds since I went off the wagon. It could have been worse, MUCH worse.

I'm challenging myself to lose 10 lbs by the time Easter arrives.

Better get hopping! ;)

Room for one more? My challenge seems to be NOT to weigh myself. It has probably done more damage than most of the food I've consumed in the past three years. Scale high, I overeat; scale low, I overeat. Sooooo, I'll make it my challenge not to to use the scale until the next time one is posted (at least that will be one compulsion I'll beat) and hope to be down 10# or so, if the challenges come monthly. If they are weekly I'll show my face every four weeks or so (if I can stand to avoid the perverse monster that long).

Congratulations to all the losers and maintainers:) you are inspiring!
