oh my goodness!!!!! this outpouring of love and support is overwhelming!!! debkay is right.. a combination of excitement and terror. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't at all worried!!! but, there have been many many people who have gone before, and the vast majority are doing just great, and that's a tremendous source of courage.

as for my preop weight loss, well, let me tell you that it was nothing i did!!!!! the smarter docs say that correcting the sleep apnea actually got oxygen into my body, and i now have a metabolism. so, my nagging question is, if i just keep going, would i need the surgery???? and my response is that i have yo-yo-ed FOR DECADES, and what makes me think i could actually keep the weight off???

so, off we go.

you ladies are the best. the support you've given peachie and me is just unbelievable. we are lucky, blessed, happy, to know you all.

so, it's a few more weeks of misery, and then my life will be back. now, all i need is a job...

Short Version:

Jiff is fine!!! All went very very well!

*picked her up at 4:50a.m.
*arrived at hospital at 5:15
*surgery at 7:30am (on the dot)
*out at 9:30am and onto post op(on the dot)
*there was a shortage of beds grrrrrr got to her room about 3pm
*a friend of hers will be with her this evening
*one more test tomorrow and she should be home on Thurday if all goes ok!

She was terrified but did great!

I am pooped and not op

Her surgeon and the other surgeons are YOUNG! When did that happen???

All through my growing-up years, my mother wanted to go to a doctor who was older (and wiser) than herself. She and my father are now 84 - enough said....!!!!!:lol:

Glad to hear that she was doing good. give her a hug (not to tight) for me!!
