Another update for my low-carb friends
 

Hi all!! I'm so glad to see that the low-carb section is jumping as always.

For those that don't know me, I'm what you would call an "old timer" I started low-carb in Oct. of 99, lost well. I fell off the wagon and just could never get back on with both fee.

I feel low-carb is the BEST plan out there. But because of my size and health issues. Over 300 pounds, diabetic and high blood pressure. I decided to find out about gastric bypass surgery.

I have spent months researching it and finding just the right doctor.

I wanted to let you guys know I am scheduled for my surgery on Monday.

I hope I can count on your support. My hubby will be calling our dear Peachie on Monday to let her know how I am doing.

Thanks for always being there, a better group of on-line friends I have never met.

Debbie! My friend Fran just had that surgery for much the same reasons and has come through it very well. Now you be SURE to tell that Peach Person to keep us updated.
And we will see you as soon as you can get back here. I think you will be doing low carb after the surgery.

Deb, I'm so happy for you that you've got it scheduled and will have it done soon. I think about you often (and not just in baseball season either!) I know this will be a good decision and that you will come out of it a happier, healthier person!

You really should post here more often though! I miss you babes!

Hi!

I tried to post this yesterday, but I could not get into the site!

I received a call from Debkay's dh around 5pm last night. She was back in her room and doing ok. The surgery went well and she has a pain pump to use. He suggested that I call her today as he thinks she may be up to doing some yacking. I will try to give her a call later this afternoon!
