hello out there
this board isnt very active, is this something that doesnt work?? or that is hard to do? i believe i am a carb addict, but following low carb diets, i always at way to much. i started going back to ww meetings on jan3 so i havent had my first weigh in yet. but i do get hungry, i believe cause i am eating to many carb pts. iam sticking to it though. i have read somewhere that you dont get the lowcarb plan until 6 wks into the program, i wonder why?? guess i will ask at my next meeting on wed night. i still do think there is something to be said for high protien eating plans, but i just have trouble sticking with them and would rather have ww pts work for me.

It's not that it doesn't work, it's just that the folks who do it tend to hang out more either in the WW area (if they are primarily WW folks using the higher protein/lower carb approach to manage their appetites and help them stick to points) OR in the LC area (if they are primarily low-carbers looking to WW for some guidance on total caloric limits).
Read through the threads, though. You'll find great recipe ideas, menu ideas, and the all-important week 6 materials posted RIGHT HERE. |
thanks bumby. i am thinking about trying it tomorrow.

If you set your brower to see all the post under this topic you 8 protein, 4 starch, 4 veggies (minimum), 3 fruit, 3 milk, 3 fat, and 3 "whatever" points on maintenance. I'll be glad to try to help you if you have questions.

If you look through all the old topics you'll get a lot of good ideas. You might have to adjust the pull-down window to show older topics than the default.
Briefly, everyone's different, but I rely on: zero-point vegetables fish reduced-fat dairy products soy-based meat replacements egg beaters chicken |
So delighted!
Hello everyone,
I just found this site in my attempt to "modify" my low carb eating with the lower calorie/balanced WOE of WW. I find that if I keep my calories around 1500 I do relatively well with "low carbing". The problem has been the occasional binge. It usually lasts for about 2-3 days and results in the consumption of approximately 3000-4000 calories a day. I am so pleasantly surprised to see that there are others who follow this (general) eating pattern (the low.carb/low cal not the bingeing) and that so much information is available for those of us who discovered this combination so recently. Sincerely yours, Stilltrying |
