Weight loss + spine bumps
Hey all!
So I've successful lost about 20 or 25 lbs since the beginning of the summer- a nice, slow weight loss :carrot: While I would still like to lose another 5 or 10 lbs for vanity reasons, I've noticed that when I bend over now, I can, for one, see bumps from my spine in my back if I look in a mirror, and also, if I bend over for long enough, it'll leave red spots in the center of my lower back. I'm 5'8 and about 155 right now. Is this normal? I'm hourglass/pear shaped, so I carry the bulk of my weight in my thighs and hips. Sorry if this is a silly question, but I feel like the changes in my body have only started catching up to me in the past few weeks. Thanks! |
That sounds normal to me. I am your height and close to 150, but my spine does not show because I am apple-shaped and carry all my extra weight around my middle. You probably have a slimmer mid-section than I do, even though we are at the same weight.
If your spine feels comfortable and strong, I would not at all worry about seeing it. 155/145 is the perfect weight for your height and in all likelihood you probably look perfect. |
