First off, you might try wearing a sanitary pad or shield in your undies to see if that helps by preventing the seam from riding too high. If not, this pair of shorts might just not be a good fit for your shape. There are also special camel toe protectors you can buy, but the pad/shield should give you a clue as to whether these will help or not.

Regarding your questions... as you lose weight, it will come off different places at different rates, but sooner or later that area should reduce in size.

Do little shopping and find something better.

The number on the tag, does not matter.

How it fits does.

Since I had a hysterectomy a LONG time ago, like 30 years, the whole "pad" thing, sounds, well, never mind.

Just shop around and find what you like!
