Default Bikini Bodies

Today's blog post reminded me of this little poster I saw a while back:

https://upworthy-production.s3.amazo..._your_size.jpg

I know it's easier said than done but I thought the poster said it pretty aptly - wear what makes you happy!

Personally, I won't be wearing a bikini any time soon but slowly and surely i'll be takin' it all off this summer (spent the last few summers wearing long sleeved blouses and sweating under cardigans because I don't like my arms in particular).

That aside, anyone else super happy that one pieces have made it back in style in a big way lately? There's a lot of great vintage inspired shapes that just so happen to be perfect for curvier women.

Love it! Especially the line, "How to get a bikini body? Put a bikini on your body."

That's my favourite part too.

I'm just so sick of seeing "So & so Shows off her Bikini Body!!" on the cover of every magazine. Seriously. It's the same body. It just has a bikini on it.

I love it! Very timely with all the posts about bathing suits lately.

And yes , so happy to finally find one piece suits that aren't just meant for the older ladies. I'm rather conservative regardless of weight so it is nice to have stylish options. Got a great on at Old Navy a few years ago that finally fits again!

I don't care what is in fashion. I wear a one piece because I have no desire to have a "wardrobe malfunction" which seems almost inevitable in most 2 piece suits UNLESS you plan to either just sit or lay on a towel. The exception would be a more conservative "tankini" style 2 piece which I have also worn. I like those with a non-tie top (The straps go over the shoulders, vs tying behind the neck) and boy shorts. Though the fit and quality of the shorts is really important because I had one once that as it got wet it got heavy and looser...yikes.

My favorite is my high neck black one piece "diving" type swim suit because it cannot come off accidentally and it's made with extremely high quality fabrics.

That poster is cute! So true! Did you block out the f-bomb? If so, thanks. I hate that word. The infographic could've been and is very effective without the cursing.

On another note, this summer, I WILL swim. I can't remember the last time I was in a pool. Swimming is one of those things I relegated to being only suitable for thinner people. I can't wait to do something I love again!

I'm actually excited about one pieces being *IN*. I defiantly agree they do flatter my current shape... Yay for Curvy! lol

lol nice poster
although I hate how I look in bikini, so I just wear it in my bedroom just to motivate myself how bad I want to look good in a bikini. Sometimes I just got scared with my own body in bikini, I started doing squats and lunges in front of the mirror.
