Anyone that knows me knows Smoky Mountain Minerals mineral makeup is my holy grail. I can't say enough good about their products!
I began using SMM 7+ years ago. I am a former Bare Minerals ( Bare Escentuals ) user. I was never really especially happy with BE but, used it because I feel mineral makeup is better for your skin than some of the other options out there. Over time I learned BE contains bismuth oxychloride which can cause itching, redness & irritation. This is certainly not something I wish to put on my skin. Thanks to someone on a low carb forum, I learned about Smoky Mountain Minerals. I ordered a "starter kit" (mineral foundation, blush, veil ), fell in love and have been using it ever since.
Let me say, I will be 52 years old in August and I know a lot of "mature" women think they can't wear mineral foundation because its powder and they fear it settling into fine lines etc. I think the secret is making sure you exfoliate ( I use Aveeno Posivitely Ageless Resurfacing Scrub ), moisturizing ( I use Olay Complete which contains SPF 15 ), and using a primer ( I use Rimmel Fix & Perfect 002 ). I brush on the mineral foundation ( I use an EcoTools Retractable Kabuki brush ) and my skin looks flawless! I use the SMM sun-kissed bronzer for contouring. I love the Soft Pink blush! I use the Halo Glow as a highlight. I love the Bright Eyes Pink concealer & the Neutral concealer. Their veils are great! Love the Pink Radiance veil and the Sheer Glow veil. The SMM eye shadows rock! The Hot Chocolate eye shadow is my favorite but, I recently ordered the mulberry & the seafoam and both are beautiful.

I purchased the medium/nude and its perfect for me! I can wear the medium during the Summer months and the nude in the Winter. It goes on so smoothly & looks flawless and it is pressed so there is no mess like there is with the loose powder foundation. Its also great to throw in your handbag and great for travel. The compact also has a nice size mirror!
