Who knew horizontal stripes could look slimming?
 

So, I was browsing for something else - like not even in the clothing department and decided to take a gander at dresses. I haven't bought a single new item of anything in about a year. A year ago at this time I weighed between 165-168 and I looked fantastic.

Now? Eh... I'm at 186 and I feel I'm bigger, though, in the last couple days I'm beginning to see/feel the slimmer me (must mean a whoosh is coming up) and I'm more toned than last year.

Anyway. They had this Betsy Johnson dress. I have no idea why I decided to try it. Maybe because it looked a bit artsy and different. Anyway, it looked great! And it looked slimming. WHAT??? horizontal stripes on my boobs waist and hips made me look slimmer? Well, it did - and more curvy! it's a "date night" kind of dress, of which I have none. Now to find a time to wear it!

Oh, I got it at Marshalls for way less than shown here. It's knit and has ruching and an underdress (which smooths me out a bit I think). I actually felt kind of hot in it (and not perspiring hot!).

So glad to be feeling slimmer again. I have a ways to go, but I'm back on track and heading in the right direction at least! yay to winter and the winter blahs being gone!

I have been a daring diva in the dressing room lately with items I have no intention of buying just to try out different styles. I don't know if it's because I'm older/more mature or I'm learning so much here on 3FC but things I would think I couldn't wear, I can! And the same old style stuff I have been wearing for years and years are painfully boring and unflattering.

I really think you are going to rock that dress!!! And that sexy feeling you have when you wear it would have made it worth the full price IMO!!

I love Betsey Johnson dresses! I love Betsey Johnson in general. She's one of my favorite designers for sure. That dress is fantastic!
