Just to keep us all motivated, here's a question!

Whats your goal outfit? Do you have one? I know that maybe it wont look like you imagine when you get to goal but that doesnt matter do you have something in mind that your gonna buy once your at goal?
:D

bargoo 01-06-2013 06:31 PM

I just wanted to get out of extra large sizes and sweats, I wore sweats most of the time that I bought in the mens epartment.

novangel 01-06-2013 06:32 PM

Victoria's Secret jeans!!! Or any of their clothes for that matter.

elvislover324 01-06-2013 06:38 PM

The item I own now that I have hanging in my closet is a size L Columbia ski jacket. I paid $170 for it about 10 years ago as I just "had" to have it, and then wore it for one winter and outgrew it.

It's black so it's still "in style" but it's more of a pride thing for me to wear it. I am hoping another 40lbs does it with my daily working out but I'm not sure what it's going to take.

So not really exciting but oh so important measurement-wise to me!

Great thread!

foucault 01-06-2013 06:53 PM

An awesome pair of jeans!

I want to go on a cruise, and wear a J.Crew swimsuit (maybe a bikini!) and look super hot! I also want to be able to wear a cute cocktail dress on that cruise to dinner and just be a total babe. I'm really tall and it would be nice to walk past and have someone be like hmm is she a model? As I walk past in my gorgeous cocktail dress with heels. But Yeahhhh that's kind of a fantasy haha

OhThePlaces 01-06-2013 07:52 PM

I have 5 lbs before I reach goal, but I'm already wearing my goal jeans. :D They're the 'Stella' line from Express... I have three pairs, size 4 in skinny, barely boot and boot.

My ultimate goal outfit would be to pull off a monokini swimsuit. I have a cruise next month, but I don't know if I'll be toned enough by then.

LockItUp 01-06-2013 09:12 PM

A pair of Seven jeans. Spendy and I only want to spend the money on jeans I'll be wearing for a long time.

A couple really nice bras, professionally fitted. Matching nice undies.

A short, tight, Kelly Kapowski-esque dress.

I reached goal over a year ago, so I'll answer in the past tense. I wanted to wear a two-piece bathing suit and look good in it at age 55 -- and I did! I also overhauled my entire wardrobe. Now I don't own any clothes that I don't like.

I want to wear a pair of shorts :-)

But I do have a couple of jeans in the very back of my closet that I want to fit back into :-)

Bwahaha, your mention of Kelly Kapowski took me way back, thanks for the laugh. :) I hear you about the bras. Oh, and you'll totally rock that dress BTW.

I don't have a goal outfit specifically. I just want to have a closet full of stuff that I like, rather than things that will do for now. I always warn DH that a shopping spree will likely cost a lot more than he thinks it will, so he'd better start saving! :D

knoxie 01-07-2013 02:42 AM

Some ridiculously sexy and expensive lingerie that doesn't make me look like a side of ham in a rubber band. That's for when I get to my ultimate goal.

Unil then I have a couple of dresses a few sizes down that are my interim goal outfits :D

dancerindenver 01-07-2013 08:56 AM

When I get to my super secret goal of 135, I'm buying a pair of True Religion jeans - can't wait!!

krampus 01-07-2013 11:06 AM

I want to be able to wear midriff shirts with confidence.

Ado Annie 01-07-2013 11:32 AM

I'd love to be comfortable enough with my legs to draw attention to them with brightly colored skinny jeans.

3fcuser291505109 01-07-2013 02:28 PM

a leather jacket which i got!
it's unfortunately maybe 1/2 size too small around the bust but it's "doable" and i'm keeping it esp since they are out of the next size up (i'm a few "trouble spots" away from goal, lol but pretty much there) but it's so awesome to have goal clothes!!! :carrot:

elvislover324 01-07-2013 04:12 PM

I am loving all of these replies, so much incentive for us to all keep going!

dstalksalot 01-07-2013 05:41 PM

As I get closer to my goal I am realizing that I will never really be completely satisfied with my body, my shape will always be my shape no matter what size. My goal is to figure out how to dress what I have in the most flattering way. Like some one else said, I want to buy clothing that I really love. I want a closet full of clothing that I have not just settled on. I also want to be realistic. I don't think I can pull off a bikini etc.

dstalksalot 01-07-2013 05:46 PM

I want to get a closet full of this: :-)

sontaikle 01-07-2013 10:50 PM

I didn't plan for this, but it's totally freaking awesome to be able to buy cheap, nerdy hoodies from the boy's section. My life is complete now

alaskanlaughter 01-08-2013 12:44 AM

when/if i get to goal, i want to be able to rock a pair of tall black heeled boots and a miniskirt and take my DH out for some fun on the town on a saturday night :D

SciFi Mom 01-08-2013 03:22 PM

My motivational piece of clothing is a t-shirt I want. I know - I'm a classy dresser!

Kitcherella 01-08-2013 04:17 PM

When I was younger I would dream about wearing tight torn jeans, a tight white top/T-shirt and converse all stars. The epitome of simplicity :)
Now I just want to buy leather boots and be able to look good not just ok.

I haven't thought much of a particular outfit, however I would like to wear a costume that represents my namesake at some point.

The one stupid thing that turned out to be kind of a big deal ... for years at my work, vendors would give us t-shirts with their company logo on them. I was always too shy to say "XL is too small, I need at least a 1X or probably a 2X!" So I had probably seven corporate-logo t-shirts in size XL that I was oddly delighted to finally be able to wear! Oh - they are all roomy now, and will soon be on the discard pile. :D :D

SunnySide99 01-09-2013 02:48 PM

For years I dreamt of being able to wear a simple pair of shorts without worrying about the 'rising up' situation and seeing cellulite on my legs. Even though it's winter I could wear a pair of shorts now. No more inner thigh issues and no more visible cellulite!

Now I am quickly approaching my final goal I'm dreaming of wearing a bikini comfortably. I'm almost there, but with a couple more months of weight training to tighten things up a little more, I'm confident I will get be ready for the spring/summer! Can't believe I'm actually saying this!

chubbiegurl 01-09-2013 03:09 PM

I would like to feel comfortable in a nice dress but I really have no where to wear it too. I can imagine putting on a dress to do my chores, food always splashes on me while cooking. Maybe I should hope to wear a shirt without oils stains on it. Lol
I seen a dress I loved in the Guess store window. My hubby was not with me because he was looking in other stores but when we got home he said there was this dress in the guess window, and I thought it would be nice for u. Too funny we both picked the same dress. As I passed it I though, hmm is anyone getting married soon so I could wear that.
My sis in law also wants me to order a dress from her website, so I guess a dress and some heels is what I want to wear. 4 inch heels cause I didn't even wear past an inch to my wedding.

Shaper 01-13-2013 08:07 AM

I'm working on getting to goal by the end of this year and when I do, I am going shopping for an utterly fabulous little red dress. New Year's Eve 2013, here I come! lol

the shiv 01-14-2013 05:47 PM

I have a desigual coat I got on amazon that should be a 12 so I should be able to shoehorn myself into the top half like I can with my other 12's... (it's not just me that keeps trying on my clothes to "see of they fit yet"... right? ;) ). The arms are so tiny! That thing is an 8/10. Loooong way off!

Even further away is my being able to dress up as Lightning from Final Fantasy 13 (for Halloween... or just whenever lol). That's a serious goal weight situation.

Most of the clothes I've bought recently that I believed would fit me are 7-14lbs away. In about 3 months I will have a seriously improved selection of clothes! Oh look, that coincides with my birthday. Woo :D

Psychic 01-15-2013 09:36 AM

I would love to be able to pull off clothes from Anthropologie. I currently can only pull off things such as their sweaters. I have a boyish build as well as extra weight, so their clothes aren't compatible with my body right now.

healthyangie 01-15-2013 10:16 AM

I'm the stupid girl who decided to start collecting bikini's in my 30's. Mind, not cheap, throw away ones but $200 dollar ones that would last FOREVER and always a classic style that would always be in ...

So as a result, now in my mid 40's I have about 150 bikini's (no kidding) - all in great shape, all in style, just waiting to be worn. My first one will be an embellished aqua tie-dye number from Victoria's Secret - low rise Tanga and modified bandeau.

Next time, I'm picking shoes :D

Pink Hurricane 01-15-2013 10:19 AM

*Dress, cut above the knee, not too short but flattering
*Shorts!
*Flattering two piece bathing suit
*A few lingerie pieces I've been wanting to get! :D

MochaLatteMom 01-15-2013 03:33 PM

:carrot::carrot::carrot:Long sleeve white button down shirt (fitted and tucked in)/ Red leather skinny pants/black leather belt/black pumps. This outfit has been in my head since I started working out, and I can see totally see me in it! Ooooww!!:carrot:

This reminded me....I was looking at a woman the other day with a beautiful winter outfit on (long sleeve shirt tucked into a knee-length skirt with an open sweater, tights, knee high boots, just gorgeous). All I kept thinking was I want to be able to tuck in my shirts and not look like a stuffed turkey. I'm still at the point I pull my shirt down to hide (!! lol) my gut. Sorry to go off topic.

Your outfit sounds gorgeous!

MochaLatteMom 01-15-2013 03:57 PM

Thanks Elvislover324. Your 95lb loss is inspirational. Yes, I still wear my shirt out over my pants as well, lol. But we will get there. I just love thinking about outfits that I would look great in at my goal weight. This is a great thread!

Thank you so much. :) My doctor is amazing; without this forum and my doctor I'd never have come as far as I have.

Do you do Pinterest? I am going to be a sharp dressed woman if my Pinterest collection is any indication lol!

MochaLatteMom 01-16-2013 10:08 AM

Elvislover324, yes I do pinterest and my account it chock full of shoes and clothes I am dying to buy once I hit my goal. In the meanwhile, its happy window shopping for me.
