Is there such thing as. . .

Jeans that DO NOT get bigger after you've had them on a while? If so what brand and where do I get them!!!

Every pair I have fits great or is TIGHT after washed and dried, then within an hour or so they are sliding down. So annoying!

I like Lucky Brand Jeans, they may stretch a bit but not so they get baggy. They also come in short, regular and tall so they are perfect for me being short that I don't have to roll them up or tailor them. I don't dry my jeans just hang to dry so not sure if drying would change the structure of the Luckys.

I don't put mine in the dryer, so they never shrink down to where they have room to stretch out again. Does that make sense, I am not good at explaining!

I wear mostly Gap jeans. They do loosen up some in the first few hours but not to the point of being baggy.

I also have a couple of pairs of Gap jeans - they are the best!

Generally speaking its a good idea not to put your jeans in the dryer!

Watch the spandex content, that will help.

Gosh, this is such a problem, isn't it?
One of my two pairs of jeans are Nevada (low-rise skinny) ones, and they do a pretty great job at holding their shape even a week out!

i purposely buy pretty tight jeans (if i even buy them - i hate jeans) because i know they will stretch out a little bit

MCGGM 11-14-2012 05:27 PM

That is just what jeans do. They stretch out after wearing them for a while. If you do find a pair that does not stretch out let me know ASAP! Because i would love a pair as well.

I have to agree with Julianna77. None of my jeans stretch now that I don't put them in a drier, because they don't shrink. I have to make sure the fit I get when I try them on is the one I want, cause it's not going to change. I currently wear women's Lee and men's Wrangler and Levi brands.

I haven't first hand experience here (the ones I bought don't fit me -yet) The sales ppl at Old Navy have me under the impression that the Rockstar skinny jean line is pretty stretch resistant once washed. Or that's how it sounded? You might look into those.

My size 14 American Eagle jeans were perfect -- and I still wear them because they're so amazing and still look good, even being a size too big and after days of wearing them. I bought "The Artist" style; maybe try those!

kelleyb 11-15-2012 04:43 PM

It has to do with the spandex in them. If you get jeans without spandex then they will not stretch.

I bought a pair sunday and wore them Monday. By noon they were almost falling down (I didn't wash them before I wore them). My bestie told me to hand wash them in freezing cold water and air dry.... Haven't tried it yet, might work...

seagirl 11-15-2012 05:42 PM

AG brand jeans. You will pay a pretty penny for them, but you will also be able to wear them for 2 weeks straight without bagging and sagging. Makes no difference how I wash or dry them, they just rock.
