Default Stupid question time!

Ventured into Forever 21 today and walked right back out after being terribly confused and feeling ******ed. Their pants go by waist size, not normal, numbered sizes.

What the **** is a 14 in "waist" sizes?

Could be a UK size 14...? I'm on my iPad so I can't really see how their size chart works, but if that's the case it would be like a size 10.

But I don't know for sure, so maybe just look up their size chart online.

I think a 14 would be somewhere around 34.

Lol! I remember being so confused when I moved down from plus sizes to regular. I looked up F21's size chart in the store on my phone because I was so confused: http://www.forever21.com/sizechart/s...1&type=product

The size chart corresponds the waist size to the usual numbered size. I think their regular sizes go up to a 12, or a size 31.

I don't know about F21, but in designer jeans a 14 is generally a 34 I believe, and 12 is 32. In Seven/Joes/etc.

Oh that just European sizing, not UK. Generally Spanish and French stores (or clothing) will go like that. Confusing though I agree!

Well that time I was scared of it, but now I've learned that that particular store doesn't carry my size in the store. Boo!

They have a plus line!

F21 sizing runs really small. When I was a US 10 I squeezed into F21 30" waists.

European sizing goes 32-44 or so, 32 is a 0 and 34 is a 2. Add 2 for Germany/Netherlands since they're bigger, and subtract 2 for Italian. And of course nothing runs the same, so like...try it all on and pray. ha.

They do have a plus line, but it's not in my store. My store has the Love 21 and the Heritage 1981 lines, but not the plus line. What makes those lines different from the regular Forever 21 stuff?

I buy either a 23 or 24 in Forever 21...23 is 00 and 24 is 0...I don't know why they just don't add the plus line to all their stores as there is a demand for those sizes.

We share close to the same stats. 5'4 178 size 14....I just recently ventured into F21 for the first time and was frustrated. I found a ton of things that had potential even for this 30 something mom, but the sizes only went up to a large. The plus sizes were minimal and I was fitting into a 1XL.. Things fit, but did not look right. I am becoming frustrated with my clothing situation and can't figure out what to even try. I hate all my cloths and pretty much hate what is offered in the Missis sections in most stores. Not sure what product lines to search for in other stores. I had a small melt down after I did some calculations. I will have to loose approximatly 25 more pounds before I will comfortably fit into their clothing. A standard size.10....That's only if I can find suitable style for an hourglass shape with a tummy. Ugh....sorry to hijack.....I was actually going to post about F21 when I saw this thread. This all happened yesterday at the mall and I am beyond frustrated especially after slowing weight loss this month.

dstalksalot, Don't be afraid of the women's department, it is not as old ladyish as it sounds but fits adult women better than the Misses sizes which is only slightly more generous than Junior sizes.
