So I went to a pirate fair this weekend (kind of like ren-faire) and I was feeling fat. I'd been in NYC all week and there are no fat women in Manhattan (or so I think!). And we were going with friends, both of whom are thin, and dressed up in costume (and looked HOT). I was basically being an emo-whiney-butt in my head all day UNTIL...we went to one of the costume tents. I have always wanted a corset, and so I was "window" shopping. My husband was like "well if you find one you like...." Anyway so I got this amazing under-bust corset. This was awesome for a few reasons

1) The girl had to go a size down from what she thought!
2) It flattened out my donut (as I call the chub around my belly button that kind of sticks out)
3) It made me have amazing posture and my back felt fantastic.

Anyway I just felt like I needed to share with someone, and my facebook didn't seem like a good place to announce it lol :)

Haha, that's awesome! I've always wanted to try on a corset and see what I look like all "squished/tucked-in". I bet it was great to have that little bit of a confidence boost!

Lol I recently got a leotard spanx thing and I love it. I'd love a real corset, they're so pretty!

I love corsets. I use to wear them ALL the time when I was younger. Anyone who is interested... they are very often sold in... sex shops. The good ones anyways. Hot topic sells some flimsy ones on occasion, and I don't shop online for clothing for the obvious reasons.

The place I got mine from is called "Damsel in this dress" and they had lots of sizes and mine was $55, which I thought was insanely reasonable given how high quality it is. Lots of real boning and high quality fabric.

Hehe, I'm going to an Irish festival on a Renaissance fairground this weekend, and will be seriously tempted to buy a corset. I'd rather wait til I'm done losing, but I want to get one eventually. Corsets do great things for my waist and boobs. :D

Love corsets! Unfortunately my really nice underbust corset nooooo longer fits. Too big! I almost bought a new one last time I was browsing but my boyfriend convinced me to hold off and said he'd buy me a new one when I get to goal. I guess it is a little silly to replace it if I'm just going to have to replace it again!

Your corset kind of reminds me of how my Body Magic fits. Lifts the girls and the butt and squishes everything else in. The first time in my life I've ever had a flat tummy!
